i can vouch for this. i had a reasonable accident where i was hit on the passanger side at a relatively low speed. the airbag went off and i suffered the worst injuries because of it out of the 3 people in the car (including my roomie who was in the back seat not wearing a seatbelt on the pass...
whats the bottom of the range that the sensor reads to? im with tiss on this that the sensor died on ya but would be nice to know the min it would read. any data after that point?
im running 275s out back on a 9.5 w/o issue. i plan on going a touch wider later on. 315s will fit but you might need to roll your fenders and be very careful about the offset
tops 6-7k for a car in that shape. the int is in just ok shape, the body could use some work and id swap out that muffler for something a little nicer. the way i look at it the motor and drivetrain will be in the same shape as the rest of the car. there are plenty of dirt cheap cars out there...
depends how good a driver the guy is. is it an auto or a 6spd? my brother has beaten a local guy with intake, exhaust, hybrid turbo, lower ic pipe, and a tuned ecu (superchips, i shit you not! daughterboard and all) that makes a similiar claim that this guy does. you can have all the whp in...
even a blind dog finds a bone from time to time. guy got lucky. i agree with you that it was a shitty move on his part play wise but its better to be lucky than good. my brother is living proof of that. MFer cant play cards for shit but damn does he get lucky
im running rims that are for a g35/350z in 18in fitment (+@5 f/+30 r) and you are going to need to roll your fenders and more than likely rub if you ever lower it.
other than that it should fit
pretty cool videos but not all turbos are the same for all that stuff. bb turbos are a whole different kind of animal. as a turbo beginner you might want to check into "maximum boost" by corky bell. pretty much a bible for beginning boostheads.
either way great finds!
yea i was thinking the same thing. im betting that they stuff a t70 wheel we have been seeing on ebay into a ct26 housing. not a good thing.
go with MDC (great guys!) or driftmotion. need to look no further than our sponsor section
never though of that but i think it would work! as sawbladz said the only think i could think would be a problem was if you machined off too much material and you might have a problem with integrety. Would it matter on what kind of material/ method the wheel is created (cast might be harder?)...
JT61GT = FTW!
Alot better turbo imho than the older SP61GTs. I blew up 6 of them last year. They reallllllly hate over oiling (high oil pressure) and oil contamination (any turbo really hates that)
Im not sure how the newer SP61GTs are but i know they made some big changes to them...
