what is with Florida supras mainly being pearl white?

correction, white doesn't fade...it yellows...

and red SUCKS, I love my red car but it's fading FAST and I can't save it (clear is coming off, thin spots down to primer...)

It's not just Florida. I saw a report years ago that showed numbers sold in North America sorted by color. White was the most popular color by far.

theres a bunch of different white colors.... i dont think the majority you have been looking at were PEARL whites... but probably just superwhites...

in fact idealsupra's pearl white 89 is really the only pearl white mk3 i know of in the area. i know of a couple of super whites and then obviously the other colors.

Because back in the 80's white was the popular color for sports cars much like today silver is a popular color for European cars.

I have only seen two supra's around here that were the same color and that was burgundy, the rest I've seen are: grey (mine), black (cousins), white, dark blue, and super red.

3 x Red
1 x Grey (mine - grey FTW, btw - all teh sexy of black, with 1/2 the maintenance needed )
1 x White
2 x Homo Blue
1 x Teal
1 x Black

And one red one, that's getting painted black
