Well i'm lookin into a 57 trim upgrade. The shop i'm lookin at has it priced about $300 with garret GT compressor capable of 520-620HP. If the turbo needs a rebuild then its $650.00. And if you want the compressor and turbine and rebuild option it runs $975.00 and supports up to 720HP. Now do these seem like good numbers to you all who have had this done or no???

wait hold on a sec.... did you just say someone claims to make a 57 trim ct that can support 720 HP???

yea i was thinking the same thing. im betting that they stuff a t70 wheel we have been seeing on ebay into a ct26 housing. not a good thing.

go with MDC (great guys!) or driftmotion. need to look no further than our sponsor section

Yeah i was curious about the numbers too, not that one though since it includes turbine and compressor upgrade....the 57 trim alone though i was curious about...up to 620HP?? is that overestimating? Also....its not 720HP..its 730HP :aigo: i mistyped...

Heres the website... http://www.blouchturbo.com/turbos/result/

My tuning shop goes to them which is why i was interested also its somewhat local (hour 25 minutes).

As far as the other place most of you are directing me to...won't shipping costs add up quickly with that? or no? <---NVM i just read the thread

One other thing....what is with the clips i hear people talking about...i'm not too familiar with the turbo things yet but i keep seeing people with upgraded turbos with some angle clip?

If it's based on the CT-26, it won't do it. It doesn't matter how big the compressor wheel is when the turbine housing is so small. It just won't flow enough air.

EDIT: I also don't see where they said that a CT will make that much power...

So they say they are replacing the turbine wheel itself. It is still staying the stock size though? I wonder what kind of gain can be had from a more efficient turbine wheel. Do any other people offer to change the compressor wheel?

It can make 730! with low compression and and a wet shot... and dry and semi-condensed shot with radio-active methanol.

My ct26 57 trim cost 650 from Forced Performance in Mckinney Tx. They specialize in DSM and 3s's but they can do about any kind of turbo work. That was full rebuild, balancing, machining, the works.

They put bigger turbine housings on for the 730HP rated ones....
