also, you can put the bolts in with the head on....with the studs it has to come off....but, many people like the studs better (seach around to find out why) and the studs can normally be torqued down a bit more.
im sorry, i was mistaken...he did that in 2.5 days for the total conversion to turbo electronics.
From what i remember he said the car did not 100% on the GE electronics, thats why he switched them over...from what ive heard its still running good as can be today. maybe he will chime in, he...
heres one....this guy is on supramania, name is Supraholics i think, this is in a cressy
This one is from someone local to me, dont think he will mind me using his pics. This was a na that he NA-T with NA electronics..then converted to Turbo electronics....did the entire setup in one day
true, and even if there was a verrry small ammount of power increase, In my mind it still wouldn't be worth it beause you would also have to re-shim all of the valves on top of that.
yea, esp if he has a metal pipe I could see that making more noise than the acordian hose. As long as your not leaking boost off or getting compressor surge your fine.
are you looking for one with a upgraded trim? or just a stock replacement? you could pick a used stocker up from the For sale section, Or if your looking for a fresh rebuild or a upgrade Aaron at driftmotion or MDC are two good choices
also, are your wires in good condition? there are many instances where the sensor itself is not bad but the wires are. you can replace them with 50ohm coax cable...I kept getting a code 52 also and when I did the rewire I posted below the code stayed off...
I would not say is " better" to run it vented....there are a lot of peope on here who disagree with venting them and there are ways to recirculate the popular ones, now I do have mine vented although my HKS SAFR ajust the fuel mixture for it being vented though.
that should still make no...
looks good, never seen anyone attempt that one before, but im with shaeff, i wouldn't want that many spliced wires, it would take longer to de-pin them but you wouldnt have to worry about one of the connections coming loose
you know you can port out the stock manifold, if you put your finger up th ports there are a lot of restrictions, there is a guy local to me who does a fantastic job, pretty much a mirror finish, and there is deff a noticable difference in performance and spool time
ok...
the 87 harness should be a solid black
the 88 harness should be black with a red stripe
and the 89+ should be a white wire
those should be the signal wire colors for the different harnesses
