Well, I was just wondering to myself what you all used as car care products for your cars. Partly because I'm curious and partly because I'm always open to new good products. Of course I have my current stock of products, and here they are:

I went with an all meguiars set for this time around...not used much else before except generic stuff, and this was worlds better. So please, share what you have used and liked.

But seriously, meguiars is the hottness. They have a new quick detailer out and a new wax that came out recently that you might want to upgrade to, but besides that i like your arsenal!

I detailed back when I was 17 for 3 years. THE best wax is liquid glass. It is amazing. It actually hardens your clear coat. Very expensive though

I use a lot of the NXT meguiars...i like the results if that a tad better:sarcasm:

I like to use the Turtle wax ICE stuff. pretty darn good

NXT Gen is a good compromise, it might not be as good as some of the more expensive waxes, but you can't beat how long it protects for. Waxed my daily once before the winter and even through this years crappy winter, the water still beads almost as good as the day I waxed it.

I know this topic is kind of old, but I had a question now that I'm running low on wax and decided that making a new thread wouldnt be a good idea.

Anyway...my main question is what is the difference between these spray waxes, these liquid waxes, and these paste waxes.

I've been eyeing meguires nXt waxes...but noticed it came in liquid and paste form. Now being that I have only used liquid wax in the past I have nothing to compare to. Now it seems to me the paste wax is more work, and for some reason in my mind that means it works better...but thats unfounded.

Also, is there a different brand of wax I should use? I know I kind of asked that already in the beginning of this topic but I still feel like there is some of that question left to be answered.

It's mostly preference, but I like how liquids don't leave excessive dust that you have to clean up later. Also check on the ingredients list, some waxes will contain a higher percentage of certain ingredients which may bring out the shine in the finish if one car, but do jack shit on the finish of another. Most large name brands tend to stay relatively neutral on most finishes, but when you get into the higher end waxes, the details of the formula start to matter.

Unless you're going to the Concourse D'elegance, I've never seen the reason to dish out absurd amounts of money on high end wax. Your best bet is to ask your buddies if they have the product you're looking to try, if not just dive in and buy it, whats the worst that could happen?

The last wax I bought was Eagle One nanowax and I was quite pleased with the results. The shine is the best Ive seen and its pretty easy to use. No white residue either.
