Knock sensor Code 52.

So I read on a thread here there are TWO KS on my motor. I replaced the one near the starter (it was broken in half!, idiot prev. owner) where is the other?!

Any advice for dealing with this code?

EDIT: Found a thread that had pictures in it but the pictures dont work anymore. Been looking through the TSRM but no luck so far.

The other knock sensor is towards the front of the block under the number 2 runner a few inches below the inlet maifold. Basicly just shove your hand down behind the altinator and reach across to the block it should be there.

also, are your wires in good condition? there are many instances where the sensor itself is not bad but the wires are. you can replace them with 50ohm coax cable...I kept getting a code 52 also and when I did the rewire I posted below the code stayed off.

Yeah, that is a good point about the wiring i didn't think to metion that. It isn't very hard i usaly do automaticly on most of my cars just to keep from having a chanced problem.

yeah bud, re-wire. it's not hard but getting in there is kind of a pain. do it quick, code 52 pulls timing right?

Yeah code 52 pulls timing and it sucks too. Mine is on right now, I just don't have time to fix it @ the moment.

mine was for a while too....cuz I'm stupid and forgot to plug the rear KS in when I put my head back on....lol
