Thanks for the offer but I think I will buy a set of strippers. It's a tool I have needed in the past and will need again in the future. Might as well get one for the box.
I wish it were moving along quicker but I just plain don't have the time. I'm already tracing out wiring diagrams in...
Just got off the phone with the guy rebuilding my diff. Will be getting all new bearings and seals and a good condtion clutch pack from a donor 3.73 differential I bought. I originaly wanted to use the 3.73 ring and pinion but they weren't in good shape so I am staying with a 3.91. should be...
If you don't know the answer, don't give one. This is wrong and the person you are trying to give advise to knows you are wrong. Do a search on it and gain an understanding of why you are wrong.
I see a bunch of badassness at the front of the car but how is this power going to make it's way to the ground? I knew of a Mk1 that was running a 7MGTE and it had severe issues with wheel hop and traction in general. I say I knew of because that car was totaled. This car will be dangerously...
About as much fun as nailing my hand to the wall. I am going to hopefully borrow a TEWD for my year of car from a friend and spend some time learning about my wiring harness.
I might find it easier to check all the connections of the harness that came with the engine and use it. My concerns...
Cooling troubles should be gone for sure. However, wiring troubles are just beginning. :(
This is my room from hell where I will be doing the wiring. It's a hell of a lot warmer than an unheated Canadian garage in winter time.
I bought all of this used and I was not the one to pull it out of...
New rad is in. Went with a Koyo because that's what I have always wanted and they just look sexy. Just need to figure out how to mount my fan to it. Just need to decide whether to replace my rad hoses with Samco stuff or not. I'm trying not to spend excess money at this point. They could always...
Are those turbonetics ones reuseable. I have 2 of them on my car. One between the manifold and the spacer and one betweeen the turbo and the spacer. I'm about to reinstall the turbo and was going to order new gaskets. Do I need to?
Pointless to just widen a 16 inch wheel. I see that they can apparently make them 17's but to those that just want to make a 16 wider, go look for tires. They don't exist in widths to make these 10 inch wide wheels useable.
I just don't like the look of a cut cover. I think it looks cheap and like a kid did it. There is no benefit to seeing the stock cam gears so they might as well be hidden. The engine bay will have a tough time looking stock after I am done with it. Right now I am searching around for a charcoal...
I'm currently swapping steering wheels to get my cruise back. I love cruise on the highway because in the Supra my speed tends to creep a bit. It just feels so damn smooth at 140. lol
Did homework for 5 hours today and got sick of it so I went to the garage for a few hours. Was able to get the old engine on a stand and get the wiring harness off. I also tried to pick up my tools a bit because it was getting stupid out there.
My plan is to clean up the wiring harness with new...
Check your accordian pipe! The insides might be falling apart and a piece may have damaged your turbo. I doubt it's the air box because it would need to make it through the AFM first.
