Agreed. Brullens sound like perfection and look even better. Steve has one on his 7MGE Mk2 and DJ had one on his 7MGTE Mk2. I think DJ sold that car to Joseph in Buffalo though...
If you ever get the chance to buy a Brullen, do it!
Centers are being done roughly the same as what they were before but with a tiny bit more metallic. No bass boat finish on these wheels. lol. I think silver is timeless and I know it looked good on the wheels before. Now the finish will be perfect and shinier than before. I will be a happy camper.
PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE! I have spent about 15 hours in the past few weeks and I have complete polishing my wheels. They still aren't together yet because I am waiting on my wheel centers to get back from powder coating. Anyways, here is the shiny bits. :)
I'm scared now. I am literally sitting at my desk with a thermostat in hand, ready to go out and install it. Why did I open this thread? I am DOOMED! There is no way that Murphy's law will let this go smoothly now. lol
I submitted my slip in that thread. Just waiting for the staff to get the time to update the list. Pretty cool to make it onto there but I'm surprised there aren't more fast times. There are so many cars on here that are much faster than mine.
We took video but they turned out like complete shit. Time to invest in a quality video camera to make some decent car vids. Video just makes everything better.
Thanks again guys. I am quite happy with the car. Just need to get the wheels finished and get my big brake kit on and I will be about done for the year. I just want to put gas in it and drive. lol
Stock springs + Bilsteins @ drag strip = good idea.
Stock springs + Bilsteins @ auto-X = bad idea
Do not cut your springs. Just don't. If you want to lower it, proper lowering springs are available. They are inexpensive and safe. There are also coilovers available if you want your car to...
Not sure and I wasn't able to find it after a quick search. However, I am kinda drunk from the Blue Jays game today so my computer skills are compromised. lol
Thanks guys! I worked hard at keeping the engine cool to try and get rid of heat soak. It was also pretty great weather. I would guess about 15 Celsius.
Finally got the car to the track running properly. Only did 2 runs. First was a 14.0 at 102 with a SHITTY launch. I was worried about spinning too much with the crap tires but the track was prepped awesome. Launched much better the second run and got a 2.0 60 foot.
It was on shitty all season...
This was an awesome day at the track! Here is another slip from today where I was lined up with Steve. This was both of our second runs. This is a personal best for me.
Here are the pics from Steve's best run.
New progress has been made. Exams are finished so I spent 4 hours out in the garage and sanded until I no longer had finger prints.
This is stripper sitting on the face of the wheel. This stuff did not work well and took many applications. Still didn't get 100% of the clear coat off but...
