the carbon buildup indicates a rich condition. could be the injector sticking open for some reason. too much fuel can make a cyl not burn correctly and feel like a miss. kinda hard to say. id swap the config of the voil between the 3 and 4 cyl and run it and see if the prob moves to #4. if it...
yet no one has proven it either way. all thats been shown is a group a car with a full cage that didnt need a bar as the cage had alreayd stiffened the towers all they needed.
i know this. the point of my post is that some strut bars work while others dont. this has been proven on the mk2 and could likely be proven on the mk3 as well.
yeah, you guys have a double wishbone suspension the mk2 doesnt have. but even on the mk2, not all stb work.
heres some pics of the ljm bar for the mk2. these pics are not my car btw.
i understand what your saying, but it has been proven on the mk2. using a cusco pos bar driving wit hthe hood off it was shown to flex, alot. thats why the ljm bar was designed and then tested on the same exact car. it didnt appear to flex at all around the same corners. no other changes. i...
no po'ed at that. what pisses me off is you can get a strut brace for like $20 for the mk3 but the only good one for the mk2 is like $200 and only available in group buys on occasion. thats what sucks. lol. lukily i have 2 of them now so im set. and 2 sets of the addco swaybars as well etc...
how are they worthless? i have drivn a mk3 with and without one and it made a very noticable diff around corners wehn installed. also made a HUGE diff when i installed one on my mk2.
if i could afford it i would get the full built viper unit wit hthe chevy bellhousing and make sure it has the viper shifter as it would fit my mk2 much better. maybe one day. idk.
on my mk2 i used acetone to get it off. had both doors open and the hatch open. poured it on some blue shop towels i had folded and wiped it off. took awhile and over half a roll of shop towels to get all the glue off of all the windows and i let the car sit open like that for about an hour to...
i dont remember the wires but as i recall ground was either brown or black. the other color was positive. just touch to the battery first to check rotation. just takes a sec. i grounded my fans to the radiator itself on one of the stock fanshroud bolt locations. just need to find a havy gauge 2...
dont know. i dont have a mk3. i have a mk2 and used the 30 amp relays by the foglights in autozone. like $5 each and i had bought sockes for them online but you can just use female spades to connect to the male pins comeing off of them instead no probs. thats how i did the electric fan relay on...
i agree 100%. use this right here to control them

i put 1 fuse per relay, 30amp. and yes 30amp relays. i am using the contour fans myself. 1 required a 15am and the...
hope this helps. pretty simple. it was larger but since it was a bmp photobucket shrunk it way down. purple lines are 30 amp fuses. this is how mine is wired. i used the stock radiator fan switch already on the thermostat housing of the 7mgte for my trigger, but am going to install a lower on...
i just had a brainstorm on my clutch release setup. since the tripple plate clutch needs a push style clutch. arz suggested using a reg chevy arm and pivotball and a wilwood pull slave.
well i was searching ebay for slave cylinders and saw this jeep arm and thelightbulbs went off. i...
search for 7.25 and youll see the clutches. the discs would likely have to be purchased new as that size spline isnt common like the chevy and ford etc...
i searched and found that tilton makes clutch discs for their 7.25in multiplate clutches with a 29mm 21 spline hub which is what fits the w58 and r154. also quartermaster will make the flywheel for the 7m for $270ish. used tilton tripple plate clutches got for less then $150 shipped on ebay and...
well, bought some duplicolor vinyl dye today and dyed the hood. this shit works awesome. i apparetnyly didnt get 2 lil spots perfectly clean so they didnt dye properly, scrubbed it with soap and water again and none of the dye came off at all. i was amazed. only had dried like 5-10min. anyway...
sunday arz from arizona (andy) came over as he was here in florida and wanted to check out my progress. he is an awesome guy. we hung out, fitted it all together so he could see himself its centered and take measurements for his z etc.... and i snapped these 3 pics. meant to take more but forgot...
ok, just looked it up. basiclly its a hks type 2 racing bov but with no diaphram, which in my opinion diaphrams are better. ive had piston actuated bov's before and boost leaks past the piston. i dont see the big deal. but if it works thats what matters.
