all the slag has already been cleaned up and the wastgeat tubes have been opened up to the welds as they looked to be too small. all i need to do to it now is drill a 3/8ths hole and get my egt bung welded to it. already bought another bung to weld in as my origonal is in my stock manifold.
got my finished adaptors in today. ill post more pics when i bolt it to the junk 7m in storage for grins. lol. also, this adaptor plate only weighs 13lbs. so all those that said a steel adaptor would be too heavy, obviously it isnt. lol. ill be dropping more then 13lbs from the clutch assembly...
i know people like the hks ssq but it fucking anoys the hell out of me when peopl have them. way to high pitched. lol. i would grab a tial but afraid it will leak under boost. ill prolly end up wit hthe type 2 hks racing knock off. possibly 2 of them on the car. one adjusted tighter then the...
hondas also only have 4 runners holding the weight not 6. but since ij has melted the coating and not hurt the header that to me is proof enough they dont need reinforcement. thanks for that tidbit ij.
got some more work done to it today. still got to paint the panel black, dye the hood black then jb weld the plate to the hood inside. or figure out another way to mount it so it can be removed. im gonna try the later first. hers the pics. measured a bunch of times before drilling any holes and...
here is how i mounted my old safc2 in my mk2. modded the bracket to mount between the mirror and the ceiling. ou couldnt see it from outside the car at all. even if you squated down and looked you couldnt see it unless you knew it was there. ran the wire behind the headliner to the pilar and...
i am always seeing people say to reinforce them blah blah blah or they will crack. yet i have NEVER heard of one cracking or seen pics of one that has cracked on a 7m. all ive ever heard of is claims and pics from a honda version that was sold like 5+ years ago. so for this thread, all i want is...
its easy to adjust, dont even need a meter. loosen the screws and while its running rotate it till you here the idle switch cause of the internal idle siwtch in the tps then tighten the screws.
however sounds like you got a bad tps. ive pulled a few apart that were acting goofy and always...

ok, grabbed my gauge hood out. i mocked it previously with cardboard and 3 gauges i had laying around. if you look at the side view you can see it comes up in the back so wont sit flush on the dash. i have fixed this. i used an exacto knife and trimmed the edges from front to back to be...
i dont know ideal supra personally but have never had a problem with him or any dealings with him and never heard of anyone that had a bad experience with him. however if youd like another set of eyes during assembly i can come check it out. ive built more then a few bottom ends, 5m, 6m, and 7m...
ok, makes sense. sucks about the place in orlando, but huray for engine lab. lol. those guys do great work. everything ive taken the or recomended to them has come out great. and yeah, i have the 40 over coated wisecos and plan to be alot tighter then the 57 thousandths you guys had.
this guy has a good point. also, what machine shop did you guys use? i always use engine lab. they are awesome. not the cheapest around but i trust their work. btw, my wisecos are coated skirts as well and i had planned to keep my clearance in the 4 thousandths area. im i correct that i recall...
