Obsolete MKIII parts; are there any?...yet?

There are a LOT of obsolete MK3 parts, and more going obsolete every day. If there's anything you REALLY need, buy it now if you still can. That is my advice, haha. Rear hatch glass is still available. CT26 is still available. Seat belts are still available, but only in Shadow Grey, no other...

    Early Production Turbo A?

Turbo A's were equipped with Medium Grey, which stayed the same from 86-90, so I doubt there are many differences. I don't know what is different between LA13 and LC13 though. Jeff

what head gasket do i need for my 1j

2JZ stock headgaskets are metal, and work quite well. There isn't much reason to get an aftermarket one if you already have the stock 2JZ one on hand. Jeff

Heater control is only blowing cold air..

It's likely the VSV that controls the opening/closing of the water valve. Try bypassing it and see if you get heat then, if you do, you'll need to replace the VSV, if not, start looking elsewhere. Jeff

    Early Production Turbo A?

Do you have the part number from your ECU by chance? I'm very curious what it is. Jeff

    Early Production Turbo A?

Yeah it seems that due to the way the EPC lists Turbo A cars, it's assumed that they were all made in 1 month, because they were the 89+ style cars, they just grouped them with the 89+ catalog, even though they seem to have been producing them essentially whenever they felt like it. Seems like...

    Early Production Turbo A?

As per chat with JDMMA70, there are a LOT of things about this car that don't make a lot of sense. If I can just get a photo of the data tag, it would clear SO much up about it. Also any other tags on the car as well. The 7M-GTE definitely looks like a Turbo A, it has the Turbo A duct as well...

    Early Vs Late 7M Blocks

Discussion on Beefy's car moved to it's own thread, here. Jeff

    Early Production Turbo A?

Beefy: What's your model code/paint code/axle code, etc. Mainly model code. Have a pic of the data tag on the firewall? Jeff

    Early Vs Late 7M Blocks

The blocks changed before the crank did. All 7M-equipped Supras are MA70's, MA71 is not an official chassis code for ANY Supra. In Japan, typically cars are given years based on production date, not "model year." Turbo A's were made at the same time as all other updated cars, they were not...

Nope, cams stayed the same from 89-92. Jeff

ECU's changed at the same time as the crank, there was no weird crossover as far as I am aware. Jeff

    coolant passages??WTF?

It's been a long time since I've had a 7M down to that point, but I didn't think they did... strange. If I remember correctly, that is not the case on the 2JZ, but way to go, now you have me doubting that too... thanks a LOT! Haha. Jeff

    Fuel pump relay location?

There are 2 relays on the MKIII related to the fuel pump. The circuit opening relay is what actually turns the pump on or off. The Fuel pump control relay simply chooses how the +12V supply feed from the circuit opening relay will be routed, either through a resistor (+9V to the pump) or direct...

    coolant passages??WTF?

Yes it is. What you are seeing at the top is just a thin peice of metal connecting the cylinder to the outer block walls. Cut an inch off the top of a 7M block, and it will look just like that aluminum block. Jeff
