Adding a resistor won't change the ECU to a MAP sensor input. A MAP sensor uses a piezo sensor. The karman would still have the same frequency, but the amplitude would be lower with a resistor.

You know what I'm talking about though with the resistor in different places changes whether our ECU's are turbo/non manual/auto right? Just a cool thought if it could be done.

I have a book about the history of toyota celica and supra and it also states like everywhere else ?Ive read that there were supposedly only 500 made but I'm sure that a give or take kind of number. I would have loved to have left mine standard but it was already quite modified when I bought it and its missing most all of its original interior pieces and its unique ct26 was ruined beyond repair. so i just kept going in the modification direction. Its a damn shame JDMMA70 I agree with your stance on the no modding thing. However I have resolved myself to never change out the 7m-gteu engine. That would truly rape and pillage what is left of the "turbo a" in the car :p Also are u sure some of the turbo A's didn't come with electric adjustable leather seats as mine has controls for electric seats and there are unused harnesses for them under my current seats. Also ive read that they were equipped with electric leather seats. Ill see if i can get around to taking a piccy of the ecu sometime soon for u Jerry!

Id love to own a completely original model. I wouldn't even mod it, that's one car I wouldn't be able to bring myself to mod.

Wish more people thought this way <golf clap> :D

i hear you there, If I aquired one, mine would stay original as well..

Hell my 92 is only modded with a hatch visor, pre 89 euro signals, and euro folding mirrors, everything else is original down to the air filter, and cassette player. I don't wanna mod anything on it other than OEM parts available for it...

Just noticed your trim is a different number, mine is LC13

---------- Post added at 01:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:20 PM ----------

I personally modded mine in areas where i thought it needed it but kept most of the original bits in the shed. Because the turbo-a was a jap import a lot had already been modified before even hitting our shores.

my interior looks to be more of a grey than black from the original pecies that are still left. A medium sort of grey on the center console and roof liner with a dark grey dash. What about u wiseco? Its probably just the update in the colors between the pre and post facelift models or something simple

Turbo A's were equipped with Medium Grey, which stayed the same from 86-90, so I doubt there are many differences. I don't know what is different between LA13 and LC13 though.

The turbo-a turbocharger on a stock engine is good for around 330-350 rwhp on a aussie dyno, i've seen a few including mine that achieved that at 14-15 psi. If i get the chance i'll pull it down and measure it up if no one else has done it before.
