    Tips for installing HID's

Check out Daniel Stern and do a proper headlight rewire as stated on his site. Buy some good Osram bulbs. (not Sylvania, they're different. ;)) You will be amazed what even the stock sealed beams are capable of. If you want to drop another couple dollars, get some E-codes and couple that with...

    Tips for installing HID's

Don't. Seriously, if you're planning to install them in halogen housings, just don't. Do a proper HID retrofit using OEM projectors from another vehicle. (FX35 bixenons are nice) You can source replicas with great mounting points cast on them stock from www.theretrofitsource.com Proper...

I'm fairly certain he's not cutting it up for junk, but rather replacing the radiator core support with a non-bent one?

    Wheel Bearing Packing Grease

Exactly. OEM's tend to try to keep cost down. Redline CV2 is expensive stuff (nearly $60 for four tubes), and not likely in the budget for packing OEM bearings. ;) I'm rebuilding the M3's CV axles with CV2 as well. ;)

AFM... is this repairable with epoxy/JB Weld, or should I chunk it?

Get rid of it. Not worth the potential headache simply to save a few bucks now.

    $150 for shipping coilovers?

I don't condone buying through CL and having items shipped. However, for anything like that, there's always Priority Mail flat rate boxes. ;) If it fits, it ships! LOL.

Anyway, I didn't get as much done today as I'd hoped. As I was setting up everything to go to my friend's shop to use the press, he stopped by my house and told me that his GF was riding her motorcycle and some old dude cut her off. She ended up laying the bike down and sliding into oncoming...

It sure is! I love learning to work on other stuff, so it's not so bad. What IS bad is that I was hoping to have this done by now but I lost track of time over winter with crazy work hours, etc... I also picked up a 3.38 differential. They call it "the poor man's supercharger" LOL. Can't wait...

Repacked my new FAG wheel bearings w/ Redline CV2 grease today: Forgot to take one of it w/ the dust cover back on. Oh well. Maybe if I remember later. I'm going back to my friend's shop on Saturday to press them in. I've got one RTA with new ball joints pressed in, and the...
