Seriously, if you're planning to install them in halogen housings, just don't. Do a proper HID retrofit using OEM projectors from another vehicle. (FX35 bixenons are nice) You can source replicas with great mounting points cast on them stock from www.theretrofitsource.com

Exactly. OEM's tend to try to keep cost down. Redline CV2 is expensive stuff (nearly $60 for four tubes), and not likely in the budget for packing OEM bearings. ;) I'm rebuilding the M3's CV axles with CV2 as well. ;)
