hmmm, couldn't say for sure. A friend of mine had a rear wheel bearing go out on his '67 Mustang that sounded similar but I suppose if the diff got messed up it would probably sound close to the same.
Wouldn't unbolting the pressure plate give you a bit more clearance for pulling the engine? (making it so you don't have to pull the engine as far from the trans)
But yeah, aside from the possible clearance issue, you would only have to do one or the other.
So wait, I have a TRD shift knob AND a radiator cap.... that means I can have 2 badges right!
Fletch - I say if you like it and you want it then do it. The way I see it is that it's a badge which is MUCH less tacky than those huge vinyl stickers.
Personally my car is going to be naked...
For many people it seems to be a cheap cosmetic thing. If you have a targa it might make more of a significant differnce.
I have Tein Flex coilovers and looking for adjustable sway bars so I figure it couldn't hurt to have it all, that's why I went with some strut braces. Might as well...
Also be sure to have the air pulled from outside the car. If you're recirculating the moist air inside the car then it will stay foggier longer but as TTL said, the longer you leave the heat on the more it will go away.
It wasn't a paint. It was a dye. Really watery, in fact you could dilute it with water, it said to in the directions. But I figured where it was for the carpet I wanted it to be as strong/heavy as possible so I didn't dilute it.
Both. I used a spray bottle to apply it but I brushed it in hoping that it would really stick to the fabric. I didn't want it to wear or fade quickly. No idea if it ACTUALLY helped but it's holding up so far.
you can figure out the offset if you really wanted too. just measure the width of the wheel, then drop a plumb line from the back of the wheel and measure from there to where the rotor would meet. Subtract half the wheel width and that's your offset.
EDIT: You'll probably need to buy some...
Yeah I thought about all that crap too. As for them being brighter shining through the clear parts....I'm going to set different sections up with a rheastat (sp) so that I can adjust the brightness of certain parts. For example, the center section will be on it's own circuit, same with the...
You know what would help that reflector problem, doing like what Toyota did to the center piece. Tape off the round parts on the back side of the tail lights then paint it will silver/chrome paint. Then it will block light from hitting the back side of the reflector where you don't want it to...
I've also had my starter relay take a dive on me, causing the same sort of problem. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. When it didn't work I just turned the key to ON then shorted across it with a screwdriver. It worked until I bought a new relay.
Did some more photoshopping. I don't think the LEDs would be THIS apparent but it's kind of what I would like to shoot for. Also considering setting up the brake lights to light up like FC JDM tail lights, 2 round bright areas.
looks good man
I thought about doing this but I talked myself out of it because I really don't need another project. But after looking at the photoshop I think I will have to do it. Only problem is that it brings on ANOTHER project, if I load the center piece with LEDs I'm going to HAVE to...
yeah I really doubt Loctite is needed there. If I were to use some though I would use the BLUE stuff, it's kinda waxy. I would hate to run into an over tightened bolt with red Loctite.
