Nice. Is that gloss or flat paint? I'm still trying to choose. Any opinions on which is better? Gloss paint, or flat paint and use armour-all later?

it was the gloss black.

I used some and i didnt use any protective coating, it looked nice for about a month and then people getting in the car would scratch it up and now it looks all shity =(

My girlfriend would put her feet up on the dash just under the passenger side airvent all the time on the black dashboard and it never peeled or chipped.

black with a semi-gloss clearcoat for protection. makes it flat looking without getting rubbed off.

also if you've used armour-all before, you'll need to clean, clean, and then clean again before painting. that stuff is not good for paint and bodyshops hate it!!

amour-all has alcohol in it so it dries out the vinyl and is the number one reason for cracked interiors (unless your car has 200k on it), it sucks turtle wax makes a interior cleaner and it is what all the body shops i have talked to recomend.

I'm sorry for digging up a old topic, but I'm planning on painting my interiour too.
Did you guys, Idealsupra and dcrusupra87, painted the carpet too?
If so, did you use spray-paint?

Is there a way to paint a velours interiour black, without gettin' in the car with a white t-shirt and gettin' out the car with a black t-shirt?

I know there's a fabric-paint, but that's some kind of powder.
Throw a white T-shirt and some of the 'powder-paint' in the washing machine and you'll get a black T-shirt.
Since my velours interiour and carpet doesn't fit in the washing machine, it's not a option... or is it?

How did you apply it?
Brush or spray?

Both. I used a spray bottle to apply it but I brushed it in hoping that it would really stick to the fabric. I didn't want it to wear or fade quickly. No idea if it ACTUALLY helped but it's holding up so far.

Do you remember if it was some kond of special cloth/fabric spray paint or something?
I'm planning on using Motip VinylSpray for the doorpanels, dashboard and some plastic parts

I can't find any dye for my carpet, backseat, front seats, sun visors, doorpanel-inserts etc...

It wasn't a paint. It was a dye. Really watery, in fact you could dilute it with water, it said to in the directions. But I figured where it was for the carpet I wanted it to be as strong/heavy as possible so I didn't dilute it.
