Duane - The problem with the way you catagorizing it is that there is no cut-and-dry difference, it's up to the person looking at it to decide if it's mild or wild. Example: I machined SUPRA into my center caps. A lot of people don't have the access/ability for doing that so they might...
^ Agree 100%
By no means do I want to (or think that I can) compete vs. anyone in the Wild class just because I have shaved moldings. BUT if it took more than a drill, screwdriver and wrench to put on then it's not really fair to the person that put in the work to consider it merely mild...
Not coming back to Pullman? Are you leaving from Spokane now? I think that's where I'm going to be heading out from cuz I gotta pick up my girlfriend before heading toward Centralia.
Sure seems like it but I've only got maybe 60 miles on it yet.
No hesitation at all anymore. It does still miss some at idle, but it's a different miss than before. I'm going to do adjustments to the timing and throttle linkage and see where that gets me.
And "lol" at comparing my car...
Yeah I could probably do that. I'm not 100% sure it will work for you. I just know that it's a similar size and length so it might. If it does work though and it's a Greddy Type-R so I know it can handle whatever you've got.
Cool, thanks. I still don't know for sure what my plans...
I'm going to be working tomorrow, until like 6-ish, then head to Spokane. I'll get there around like 8-8:30 but I'm going to be in the South Hill area. If you're going to be around I could probably meet up with you though. LMK.
The pipe that you have on there (the one that the BOV is on) looks similar in size to the one I have. Maybe I could meet up with you sometime this weekend and see if it will fit. I could go back to the stock BOV temporarily, I shouldn't be running a BOV to atmosphere anyway haha
Yup! I posted in the Centralia thread. Luis and Ryan came by and helped me diagnose what was going on. I showed them how loud my fuel pump was then we compared it to Luis' car. Mine was RIDICULOUSLY loud and you couldn't hear the fuel returning by the FPR. Luis' car you could barely hear...
I don't see how rain would really make a difference IMO. As far as paint goes I would only really be concerned about rocks/dust. I would think rain should really only affect underbody things causing them to get dirty where it's difficult to clean. Again just my opinion, it's his car, he can...
teamslow does have a point though. If you are needing new tires anyway then wheels might be a wise choice. It would suck to wreck your car because you had more power but not enough traction to keep it on the road.
I'm going to vote turbo though (assuming you have good tires).
MK3Brent...
Well I got the car going. Feels like it should be Centralia worthy... so far heh. Thanks to Luis, Ryan, Cory and Justin for the help with diagnosing and parts!
Sometime around ~6:30pm is the plan, my lunch break. If changing the FPR/dampener doesn't work then I'm just going to have limp the car into town. Might end up towing it back lol.
