Yup, there's no way they would fit together.
Thanks! I thought so too ;) It's quite a bit different than anything else out there (the goal heh). Not many people keep the pre-89 spoiler, remove the 3rd brake light, update to 89+ tails and paint the center to make it look like the pre-89...
I have to disagree. If the block and head are flat but you don't feel it's good enough to put in a MHG I think OEM is just fine. Then again I've only rebuilt one 7M that way and got 40k plus out of it without a single issue.... The motor has since been pulled for a complete build so that's...
FYP ;)
I actually made the center caps myself, benefits of working in a machine shop :icon_bigg Wait until you see revision #2 of those! I have tenetive plans on making a center cap GB, but let's keep that on the DL until I have all the details ironed out...
But seeing how this thread...
All the lights on my interior have been converted to red as well. SOOO easy to drive at night, never exhausting on my eyes (even 5+ hour drives). But not faded and as "dated" looking as the original green.
I think I know what you are using but without sharing I don't see the point of the post...unless you were looking to hear opinions. Not everyone is going to give you a pat on the back....
IMO, I also don't care for white. It does look good but it is awfully straining on my eyes at night...
It looks like you've gotten it all figured out already but just to reiterate what has already been said:
TPI has to be the same from tap to helicoil to stud/bolt.
Your 7/16-14 helicoil tap will have 14 TPI still but will be a bigger diameter than a standard 7/16-14 tap (7/16 bolt + helicoil...
- BMW wheels (5 x 120mm bolt pattern)
- Old school SUPRA logo/custom center caps (in sig)
- Shaved moldings and emblems
- Filler neck moved to the trunk (in order to shave the door)
]
- Black leather interior with 2000 Celica front seats
Probably other small ones that I...
Well I might be able to stop by and help you with the trunk popper (if you even need it) but this is going to be the one weekend I'm not staying in Spokane. I do have to go up there Saturday to pick up the g/f so if you're available before like 3pm we can get together and discuss the plan.
I...
Are you going to get new wheels too? I'm not sure how much wider you can go on those lil' ones you got. Obviously you could still go a LOT wider one your current wheels but it wouldn't exactly look good lol.
I also have an HKS boost gauge (I believe you made fun of it ;)) but I never came...
I agree with pretty much everything that's already been said.
-Looks like great quality part to start with. If the replicas are even close that would be sweet!
-Don't care for the circle cutouts though, don't match the look of the car IMO
-They will look ricey on SO many Supras because...
UPDATE: Me + phillips screwdriver + 2 adjustable end wrenches + 1 hour = swapped fuel pump :) That was literally all that I had. No jack and a little more than a half full tank :(
The fuel pump was definitely seized and I'm not sure why...
I drained and filtered out all the fuel so if...
Luis - They were both used. 1st one I bought from a good friend and I don't think he would knowingly sell me anything that was broken and it did run good for about 8 months. The 2nd one was in my parts car and was working in that car and it's the one that got me to Centralia... I guess I...
Good point. I did clean it out the tank the first time I dropped it, just rinsed it with gas, but maybe that wasn't good enough? I did not clean it out when I swapped in the 2nd Walbro because I pressure washed everything prior to the install and was very careful not to get anything in it...
Doh, I knew I would forget to mention something. No, I have not done the 12v mod. I was intending to do it next week actually, I've gotta get it running first now :)
Ok, so I had a stock FP. But I dropped my fuel tank for some other reason and decided to put in a Walbro that I got a while back. I bypassed the J-tube to get rid of that restriction. I also replace the fuel filter at the same time. I don't have 550's, lex afm or an afpr (one or all of these...
