There is a section on the main page that has a huge pile of threads on oils by Jdub. A lot of good info there in selecting the best and right weights.

Fuel question.. did I do something BAD??

Changing to the 87 grade would not have caused it to stop running. CRE runs 85 octane in his with no problems. Are you getting any codes? Did it just quit, or was it a gradual thing?

    slow returning idle?

Sounds like your dashpot needs adjusted. It's in the TSRM under the emissions control systems. There's also a little filter on the end of the vac hose that needs to be cleaned sometimes, just has a little fiber filter inside.

    Acis promblem from hell

It could be off still. If the cams are off it won't run right, since you didn't put a light on it from the start, your base timing is probably off, which it could run ok some of the time, and like shit others. I can't believe you have rebuilt the motor and havn't put a light on it. And you...

    Acis promblem from hell

Really does sound like a timing problem. Have you had a light on it, and have you checked your cam gears to make sure they are lined up? A lot of people do not rotate the motor a couple of times after installing the timing belt, and then re-adjust if necessary. While you're doing all that check...

    power steering belt broke again

Also check your pulleys to see if they are OK. You could have one with a nick or something chewing up the belt. IJ is right about the brace it is left off sometimes by PO's and can cause not only the belt to go but also the pump.

Starter Problem (Not a normal starter problem)

Yes, could be getting weak and will probably get worse, if that's what it is. Cyfi6 gave some info on how to check it.

With out one the ECU will retard timing.

    leaking coolant

Looks like the hose that goes to the heater switch from the head to me. If that's it you don't have to pull the motor.
