The thing I hate the most about supras/my supra is.......

You don't really do that do you? I mean on the crank pulley, you're going to lift the motor with the motor mounts connected to have the rear tip down when a couple of extensions and swivel works. Not to mention the possiblities of tearing the motor mounts, messing up the pulley, and the front...

    Oil still leaking

I think I figured out your problem. You said "plenty of RTV on those spots". You're only suppose to put a small bead across the two areas and smooth it with your finger. If you put too much it can acually keep the HG from laying flat across there. If that is the case IDK short of doing it again...

    Oil still leaking

Can you tell where it's leaking from? Are you sure it's the HG? Have you checked the cam seals? Or the oil pump drive seal?

    half a bhg?

#3 looks a little off. Maybe it's getting ready to really go. They should all be pretty close as far as compression. Did you check the little rubber cap under the #6 Exhaust outlet?

Didn't think to ask if a new HG was used?

    Oil still leaking

Did you have the block decked? If so did they deck it with the rear timing gear cover on?

My car is a POS whats wrong with it?

First off is it a Supra? There are no POS with the Supra badge. Maybe a poorly maintained, or one that has been butchered by some previous owners. Have you checked all your grounds, the tension on the belts, the connections on the starter? The "starter was just rebuild a few months ago", by...

    VTA-E2 Voltages/Resistance

I have the Walbro with the 12 volt mod and no "J" tube and the resistor bypassed. But I also have a AFPR. I think if you're going to run the bigger pump you should have a AFPR. Helps with the tuning.

    gumed up cylinder head

You know I think they make some furry covers that fit in the fuel filler, for guys that really LOVE their Supras, I've been told why don't I just go sleep with her :) Wives just don't understand the whole car-guy thing. Sorry for the hi-jack also. Let us know how things turn out for you.

    gumed up cylinder head

Gummed up with what? I've seen them gummed up with stuff from the oil not being ghanged enough or with cheap oil. I've also seen them gummed up with carbon desposits from cheap gas and not being maintained properly. Could have been both.

Just what I've done in the past couple weeks.

You get a tax check? I forgot what one of those looks like. Well I guess you have to pay'em to get any back.

    power from a NA 7m

That's a pretty good trick to know :) I guess as long as you don't "flood" it the mist would steam off. And like Jdub said if you are worried about the water getting past the rings then you have other problems to worry about.

    power from a NA 7m

Isn't it true that a high mileage motor may "ping" and to get rid of that you may have to up the octane?

    power from a NA 7m

For 210,000 miles to be running at all is good :) CRE is getting away with 85 octane and 17.5 deg BTDC:aigo:. Must be the Maft-Pro.

    Na engine bay shots!

Yeah, same with me, they sure look nice polished, just wonder how long before they start looking bad again. I had mine somewhat polished and the started to loose luster. Put clear on them, that started to turn yellow, that's why mine is black now.

That's what I thought about headers, just was asking for anyother explaination. I keep thinking it's around 9. something to 1.
