    Need help picking a turbo

Higher RPM flow is not as much as a concern to me as power. I monitor the pre-turbo EGTs. If I notice them getting too high, I may run a larger hotside. I'm still only running 18psi through this turbo, and not noticing any negative effects from the hotside.

Here's what I want you do do when you get the ECU and TPS back. -Insert a small wire, or strip the insulation back so you can measure E2 while it's plugged into the TPS -With the ECU and TPS installed, turn the key to on. -Measure the voltage between E2 at the TPS, and the battery negative...

    Oil drain flange???

In that case, the drain flanges on standard Garrett turbochargers bolt right on to the oil pan.

USDM 2JZ MAP sensor = vacuum sensor?

MAP sensor = Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor = Vacuum (and boost) sensor It's the right part he's talking about. If you want, you can have my old 1JZ MAP sensor. It was working perfectly, I just upgraded to a Denso 3bar. $100 shipped sound ok to you? Should take a day or two to get a...

So you were driving the motor hard with a rod knock, and figure it's the motors fault you have a block window?

    IAC valve

2JZ one DOES come apart into two pieces. The 1JZ one does not unless you want to damage it.

AFIAK, the STI transmission is longitudinally mounted, where the talon is transversely mounded. It wouldn't work period.

Always ask for timeslips or dyno sheets. Easy as that.

Where to buy Walbro and a few ?'s

As long as the fuel sock is similar, it'll fit in about as well as a MKIII one will. I would highly recommend a MKIV TT pump though.

    IAC valve

My simple IAC fix for those who want to know: If it's stuck open, remove the tube going to it, and insert a cork (it fits perfectly into the rubber hose). Drill a hole in the cork and file it out to gain appropriate idle speed.

    IAC valve

FYI. The 2JZ one will plug in to the connector, but will not physically fit onto the 1JZ manifold.

Platinum cured silicone works well too. The heat and oil won't affect it.

    1jz oil filter

1JZ filter is the same as a 2JZ filter, is the same as a 7M filter, is the same as a 5M filter. Toyota's been using the same part number for their I6 oil filters for over 20 years.

what size tire should i get for my rims

It's all about sidewall ratio. Tread width has nothing to do with overall wheel diameter. You can put a 315 on the car and keep the factory diameter if you want.

what size tire should i get for my rims

Exactly. The whole point I was trying to make when I said not going past 295 on a 10" rim was because after that, you're just stretching tread over the sidewall.

    Walboro enough pump for 1000cc, gt40r 2jz?

Why can't an 044 be used internally? Install a fuel sock at the bottom, and you're done. I believe IJ ran an 044 in-tank when he was running gasoline still.... As for the SARD pump, it's an upgraded Denso pump. They very well may flow a lot, but I don't trust a pump until I see a...
