1jz oil filter

Hey just a quick question does the 7m and 1jz use the same oil filter and if not what is a high quality filter for the 1jz??

the 1jz filter is the same as the 2jz oil filter.

wix, mobil1 and toyota oil filters are good. there is a whole thread on the subject, search for more info.

I would avoid Toyota filters...back in the day when the Denso filters were commonly available, they were pretty good. Today, the Toyota Denso filters available in the US are made in Thailand...they are cheap, on par with a Fram filter.

Lagged - interesting link...I'll put it in the oil filter thread. The link is correct, it does look a lot like a Mobil 1 filter. FYI - Mobil 1 filters are made by Champion Labs...they also make K&N and WalMart SuperTech filters

Good filters, but you pay too much for what you get with the Mobil 1 and K&N...Wix (or NAPA Gold - same thing) is a much better buy for the buck.

1JZ filter is the same as a 2JZ filter, is the same as a 7M filter, is the same as a 5M filter.

Toyota's been using the same part number for their I6 oil filters for over 20 years.
