    The 7M Stinger Thread

I'm not seeing "fixed", you're talking about under "Trim's" on the tuning screen, right? I see "locked" under the "static timing" drop down menu. It's only a little bit lean with the 45% cold crank enrichment, but this is running my 2JZGE with the 7M wiring.. so probably dead on for a 7M :)

Happy Easter guys.. the car runs. It has a pretty nice idle, but it stalls after like 15-30 seconds. It's predictable. It seems like everything is great, and then it just stalls. I'm just glad it will run :).

    2JZ NA-T into MK3

Should be fine IMO, thats how mine looked. I'm a little too free and easy tho. If its going to bother you, I'd definately get it taken care of, its not worth driving yourself crazy over.

C'mon guys, you mean to tell me that nobody has a set of coils laying around??? ;)

weird, its not like that on my car. I'll have to double check when i get back to my house.

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

I have a favor to ask of you guys.. You know the 7M coil pack, there is a harness that plugs into the coils, that has 3 plugs which have 2 wires each. For the 1+6 coil.. the colors are Tan + ____ For the 3+4 coil.. the colors are Tan + ____ For the 2+5 coil.. the colors are Tan + ____...

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

Thanks, but that didn't do it. But thats good for people hoping to take this route with the 2JZ and the 7M electronics, it explains what must be done to fit the CPS to the 2JZ head. Edit: I'm at work so I missed a small part of it talking about installing the CPS 180* out. I'll have to try...

Yea, I'm still on the 7M coils, I just have to use that harness that I already hacked up. Yea, its the 12v wire to the coils, I just called it "ground" because I couldn't remember.

I assume this diagram is for the engine harness side? I'm not seeing those wire colors at all http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=Main&Page=040

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

Sao1, BigAaron from driftmotion has made a specific wiring diagram for the 7M electronics. Yes, this is a wasted spark setup. The 2JZ does have the same firing order as the 7M. My Dwell is 4, as per Aaron's instructions. The map is internal to the stinger, and my load is off MAP for now.

Figgie, thats how I orignially set it, as per TSRM. Is there a different way? Maybe I also screwed up the wires to the coils when I was doing the IS300 mod.. I'll have to look up the wiring diagram. Off the top of my head, I believe I have the black wire going to the 1+6 coil, the green wire...

blah, getting spark to all cylenders, I can't get this thing to start. I'm getting backfires... one gave me 19.2 PSI of positive manifold pressure.. that worries me. Ignition timing off? I've played with the CPS like crazy.

    VPC Leaning out HELP!

Do you have an FCD installed? If not, double check and make sure, this sounds just like there is an FCD installed, especially when you're upping the airflow signal, but not seeing a change in the AFR.

Yup, and I think I'll pick up a spare, just to have it whenever I get some more funds.

You'd be supprised how many people are taking this approach, or at least considering it. I've had so many PM's in the past month. I just can't wait for a few of us guys to get everything running reliably so that we can give everyone else some feedback. Personally, I chose this approach over...

do you have a FP gauge so you can see if the injectors are firing (you'll see a slight dip in FP for a milisecond.)
