yea, man. I think it should be a fun project, and 300HP isn't bad at all.. you could always just make a super-responsive setup instead of the lag monster high hp projects that most people go for.
I'd definately recommend the IS300 coils.. thats what i did and they fit/work great. I could not...
i got the idea when I was 7M searching for intake manifolds and I saw turbo manifold for the 2JZGE.. it really got me thinking. Then I stumbled across the information about the 7M CPS fitting into the 2JZGE head. I posted a thread here about running the 2JZGE off 7M electronics, thinking it was...
Well guys I just wanted to update a little and say I drove the car around today on BigAaron's 7M map. The car was very different from my 7M. The motor feels so crisp and revable (lightweight flywheel helps I'm sure).. the clutch is going to take some getting used to (clutchnet 6 puck sprung)...
I was thinking about that, but then I'd have to take my radiator out. It's really hard to get to.
Hmm... I guess I'll procrastinate, instead of using my time wisely and just doing it ;)
Okay guys, I'm about ready to take the car out for a spin, only problem is my E-Fans are not cutting on!
I'm so pissed, I bought a kit from advanced auto for electric fans, and it has a "snap switch" which cuts on at 185*. Does anyone know aprox. where that is on the stock temerature gauge...
Okay, I checked and the stinger is getting 12V's and a good ground. I can read from the ECU. Sorry, I thought the Stinger wasn't getting any power.
Basically, the problem is the EFI relay must not be turning on with the ignition switch. the engine cranks but the fuel pump won't even turn on...
hmm.. okay now I have a problem. No power, I went to start the car and there was no power to the stinger. I figured I blew a fuse.. so I checked the fuses and none were blown. I was thinking maybe the EFI fuse.. but no, its not.
I know the stinger is wired into the BATT pin of the wiring...
Hey,
Great to hear there are more of us going this route. I was afraid of manifold fitment being the only major hangup for this swap.
What is hitting the strut tower, is it the comressor housing or the actual manifold?
The way I did it, was I had to take the turbo and the wastegate off...
I added 60% fuel across the board and finally it idles great :) Thanks for all the help Aaron, as of now I have no more problems!
I do have a question tho, I noticed the Stinger has an input that i assume could be used for nitrous, and you can add fuel to the map. Is there any way that I can...
you got it P5150, that didn't do it. What I ened up doing was switching around the wires to the coils.. when I wired in the lexus Is300 coils I mixed them all up somehow, and then I arranged them in all different random ways, and it worked :). I had to retard the base timing quite a bit to get...
I'm a lot closer now, thanks! I figured out the car is running lean and stalling, I just need to add in some fuel, and that should do the trick! I'm so happy :)
