3 point bore mic on my previous failed engine build showed .0007" give or take when over torque'd...I'm sure I could replicate it all over again on video if you like?
Arp main studs/bolts are over kill and not needed unless you just want to say you have them....arp torque spec is much greater than stock meaning you'll have to line hone as more clamp force distorts the caps.
Bic has a very small inventory and he is a custom fabricator so his quality parts are priced as such....some can't afford his stuff:-(
suprasport is/was great but Jack seems to be screwing up lately...if and when they get there shit together I'd buy from them again.
The only real problem is a few sensors in the water neck, wire harness, and ecu...the motor mounts can be taken from the previous engine and swaped to the new engine...just sucks trying to find a good wireharness these days.
No it plays with timing to limit rpms causing ignition to happen between the head and the turbo so you can build boost with no load for 5spd cars. It can damage exhaust valves and turbo but you gotta pay to play.
If you want a one stop shop sort of thing than yes. If the car is an 86.5-88 than stick with early those years as it's hard to find early 89's.....89 is a pain as so many changes took place.
Dude 935 has such a horrid track record here that damn near everyone knows it by now! I've never ordered from 935 and never will as this type thread is so very common!!! Funny thing is is that 935 will ignore this thread even though he is a active member here....the dude is a real winner I...
Pulling my trans from my na, I was laying on the floor with my head near the tail housing...as I was lowering the trans while it rested on my knees, fluid started pouring out all over my face and chest. Trans fluid sucks!
I've had a hood come crashing down on my head before...indeed it sucks!
NPR are good rings...the top ring is chromoly which is a very hard tuff ring which is great for a reliable build that is meant to last a very long time!
Being that the ring is chromoly and our blocks are made of a very hard cast iron, you need to inform the machinist of this....you'll want a...
When you pull the engine undo the wire harness from the ecu and pull the harness while it's still attachedto the engine...this way you can reduce the chance of breaking sensor plugs:-)
