Well the Transmission is an auto Poop

So I plan on just taking the engine, harness, everything in the bay, the front nose and grill (Mine is bad by the Previous owner being an idiot), Downpipe, mounts, fuel lines, everything I can get my hands on. My car has some bad rust in the rear and drivers door, but nowhere near as bad as this guys!!

Take the auto anyway....sell it...if you can pull everything for $200 then take EVERYTHING! Nothing wrong with auto...turbo boost plus auto=sex!

When buying a donor car, does it matter that much if the years are different? I have an 88 so should I aim for getting a pre 89 donor?

If you want a one stop shop sort of thing than yes. If the car is an 86.5-88 than stick with early those years as it's hard to find early 89's.....89 is a pain as so many changes took place.

Thats what I thought, I heard the wiring was also a bit different which i would most likely not be good with haha. Thanks

The only real problem is a few sensors in the water neck, wire harness, and ecu...the motor mounts can be taken from the previous engine and swaped to the new engine...just sucks trying to find a good wireharness these days.

yeah, forget NA-T, swap for a 7MGTE, but don't leave it stock.

get an upgraded exhaust, upgraded BOV with recirculating tip, intercooler hard pipes, upgraded IC if you wish, and a mod that makes a MAJOR difference, is a downpipe, preferable one from BIC...

I have all these mods and my turbo spools up almost instantly! damn fast too; you'll love it..
