You might want to look into a catch can for the pcv and see if that helps your oil burning. The small cracks around your wastegate are pretty common on these turbos, but the one large crack that curves around the inside of the snail isn't good. I recieved a rebuilt turbo once that had a large...
The plug faces the passenger side of the vehicle and the driveshaft should just slide out of the trans after you unbolt it from the diff and unbolt the center support.
There is an O-ring that seals the compressor housing and the backing plate of the housing. In your second picture you can see the snap ring that can be removed which allows that seal to be replaced. It sounds like your turbo is rather worn out though and you may be better off replacing it or...
I'm interested in taking the class if you do one in the portland area or nearby. I live in Bend and figure Portland would be the closest place to me that would be conveinient for you.
I've got a 57trim that needs to be rebuilt. It has a turbonetics exhaust housing on it (no wastegate cracks). If you're interested make me an offer.

If you are worried about that valve being stuck open, I think it would be easier and less of a mess to clamp the hose shut and start the car to see if it makes any difference. Just an idea, I would hate to have to clean up that mess when I was done.
Set the fuel pressure without the vacuum line attached, you do have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator correct? Check the TSRM for pressure numbers.http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/
I would set the pressure and then and see where it runs and then lower the fuel pressure until...
If it makes the noise while you are just sitting still and reving it, then listen to see if it is coming from the engine area or somewhere else on the car. Just like Rennat, I don't want to say it's Rod Knock, but your description does sound somewhat similar to it. Try to narrow down where the...
Your issue may be the turbo, but I just put a rebuilt 57trim from Driftmotion on my 7mgte and I still get smoke when I come to a stop. I will also get some on accel and decel at times. I rebuilt my motor about 3k miles ago and the compression is fine. I am leaning towards a catch can for my problem.
I would really prefer a weekend class, since there is probably not enough interest here in the Bend Oregon area to jusify a class. I guess I could go talk to the guy with the dyno though and see if he knew of anyone else that is interested.
I would definately be interested. I live in Bend Oregon and would be willing to come to portland if you held a class up there. Would you be planning to do the class on weekends?
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of the complete HKS EAC-T Suspension System for TEMS equipped cars. It comes with a HKS TEMS Controller, HKS Struts and Springs (Front and Rear). I have this system on my car and was looking through the records for the car and found a receipt...
I currently have a built motor and a 57trim, with lex and 550's and I get 28mpg on the highway. You shouldn't have a problem retaining what you get right now. I have no idea what I get when I'm driving around town, because I can never keep my foot out of it. Oh well.
It looks like some sort of an alignment dowel for something, it doesn't fit in the block does it? Like for aligning the head? If you look at the side view it was set down into something, because of the shading on the metal.
At 8-10 psi you shouldn't be hitting fuel cut, but anything can happen I guess. My impression of boost creep is that it is caused by the wastegate not flowing enough or being sensitive enough to regulate boost. That is why in the upper rpm range the boost will start to creep. You shouldn't get...
Wait, back up a second. Are you still on the stock turbo?
If you are why did you put in a walbro?
What boost psi are you running?
If you are not on the stock turbo, then you are probably hitting fuel cut because you have the stock afm and you are getting boost creep.
At what psi are you...
