I'm just shocked you are 12-13 psi without any shimming or turning the boost up. I wonder if you wastegate isn't having problems, the diaphragm could be leaking or something could binding up and its not opening up enough. Something just isn't right here.

Your stock cat and exhaust is going to be a huge bottle neck...however I would still expect you to feel a a difference but probably not as much as you are hoping for. Get a 3" exhaust installed and it will make a huge difference. Good Luck!

I know a couple of people that ran only a elbow one stock one 3 inch that was about 8-10 inches long and had no problems. But yeah the only thing you have to worry about is melting something but just starting it for a few secs is not going to screw anything up unless its right there.

I have pulled and installed a few, and putting back in really is no different. just take your time and have at least 2nd person helping you guide it in. I have never had to do any special to get it back in. just reverse the process you took to get it out.
