yah my light has been on since yesterday(just got the car running yesterday) and im wondering why its on...i have a steady temp, the coolant is prob old(flushing this weekend)...The overflow is above full(at the same level, just seems to have to much coolant)...could to much coolant cause the light to go on...there is no CEL,im stumped...both the coolant is free from oil, and vise versa...im stumped

This light only comes on when the overflow sensor thinks the coolant lvl in the overflow is low.

for whatever reason the sensor is thinking its low while its not. I'm no wiring expert but to me this would make me think the sensor is bad or something is on it causing it to do this or the wiring is shorting somewhere.

Unplug the sensor and see if the light goes off....that should eliminate the wiring.

My guess is either a stuck or dead sensor in the recovery tank.

CLR works sort of ok.

I always used hot soapy water. Check the condition of the rubber plug on the bottom of the overflow.
