OK, so I just took a look at it again. This was how I originally planned on setting it up until I wanted to plan for a meth setup in the future. See the following diagram:
That location is about the only place I can put the BOV without it hitting the hood, unless I place it under the IC...
I'll try fitting it again, but I have a PWR radiator going in too (the radiator isn't installed in the pics) and I'm concerned about space on the engine side. I guess part of the reason I wanted to put the BOV before the meth nozzle was so it wouldn't vent the meth mist like you mentioned.
So I need to mount my Tial BOV on my intercooler piping:
I'm leaving room for an IAT sensor and a meth nozzle in the engine bay before the throttle body, and I don't think I'll be able to fit my BOV there like I had hoped. I'd like to mount it as close to the throttle body as...
I have the same dilemma. Mine is a little squished between the alternator and the FFIM but it's still functional. I'd imagine a 90 degree AN fitting would cure the problem, but that would be pretty pricey.
+1. I understand how--theoretically--the fuel filter should last the life of the car, but you never know what's gotten in the tank over 20 years. Plus, most of us install aftermarket fuel pumps and with the tank out it is easy as pie to change! (that's how I did mine).
I think I have both the throttle body and the linkage; I'll have to check. I don't have the throttle cable though, as I had to cut mine up for the FFIM.
Keep in mind, I'm just venting to atmosphere because I have no ported vacuum source on my FFIM. I'm guessing Toyota made it that way stock so it wouldn't affect idle quality. The check valve is just to keep ~2 psi pressure in the tank like stock. Thanks for the McMaster link, I didn't think to...
What about those of us with FFIMs without a ported vacuum source? This is the reason I'm just venting mine right now with a 1.5 psi check valve (closest I could find). Unfortunately my valve doesn't seem to be cracking open until about 6 psi which I think is too much pressure in the tank. So I'm...
New parts arrived!
Also waiting on some RC 660cc injectors from Rich! Installing these will keep me busy in the meantime though.
Mounted my LC-1 wideband controller on the firewall:
...not the best place right by the downpipe, but I seriously couldn't find any other location...
Why the sensor before the IC Ian? Is that just to measure the efficiency of the IC?
Any particular reason you placed them before the nozzle? Since the ECU doesn't see the effect of the meth in this setup, is this just for a detonation safeguard? Or are you still able to tune it to take full...
I would like to run a meth injection setup in the future, and I am currently converting my car to speed density using a Maft Pro. I'm trying to decide where to place the IAT sensor so I can easily install a meth nozzle later on. I've read many differing opinions on this, but should the IAT...
Bump from the dead...but I figure it's better than starting a new thread. Anyone try the AEM harness?

That's the only one I was able to find readily online. I'm a little concerned how many vehicles are listed for one...
I'm wondering the same thing. I can see my thermostat open at around 195 (I have my sender in the upper rad. hose...I know NOT the best place and I have plans to move it, but I can see when my thermostat opens...). During light cruising on a hot day it might max out at 205 or 210. During hard...
Well I bled all four calipers again, and it felt about the same...maybe just a little better. Seeing as I still had a good bit of pressure in the pedal, even though I could press it down quite a ways I went for a quick drive. It seems to stop just fine, and I actually was able to bed-in the...
