    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Ordered 660cc injectors, a MAFT Pro (speed density conversion) and an Apexi AVC-R electronic boost controller. Still waiting for those to arrive. Received my front 13" big brake kit from Andy (Arizona Performance) and installed it. I haven't had much of a chance to try them out as I still...

    1jz vacuum pressure at idle

Haha, I take it you didn't do much boosting then ;)

    Friggin Widebands!!

Wow, I never thought I would live to see the day I taught IJ. something! Usually it's the other way around. :p

    Friggin Widebands!!

No problem...glad I could help. The WOT switch is optional according to the install instructions. We don't have a switch in the pedal assembly, and to my knowledge the TPS doesn't have contacts for WOT (for idle yes). I would just directly ground that wire.

Oil feed and return lines for T4 set ups.

I agree with buying one length of braided line and the fittings separately. I did this for my fuel lines and it turned out great. This was my first time assembling AN fittings and I had no leaks the first time! Just takes a little careful reading if you've never done it before. (not sure if you...

    Driveshaft options?

Oh, and since I'd like to track my car (road course) quite a bit I plan on modifying a generic Summit driveshaft loop to bolt into the center carrier bearing area. This way if it does snap on me it won't be a disaster. Ever see the myth busters "driveshaft pole vault" episode? :p

    Driveshaft options?

I have a shaftmasters 1-piece aluminum driveshaft and it's been great so far. Time will tell whether it will hold up to lots of power though.

    Small town car shows

+1. Why can't people be car enthusiasts rather than segregating everyone into cliques. Just think how much information and new ideas would come from talking with someone that has different interests? Now that's just uncalled for! No matter how much you dislike a car you DON'T do that to...

    Friggin Widebands!!

Correct, it only sees 12 volts with the ignition in the "ON" position. I previously powered my wideband from the radio harness, but quickly realized that circuit's power is cut while cranking. This is what the add-a-circuit looks like: The black connector will plug into your fuse box...

    Friggin Widebands!!

I used an "add-a-circuit" fuse tap to tap into the drivers kick panel. I believe I used the gauge/cluster fuse. This way you don't have to cut any stock wiring and you can also fuse the new circuit independently.

    OHIO thread

Yep, that's me. I used to have the black Prelude but sold it for the Lexus. I still miss it sometimes, even though I love the IS300 now. Sorry, I would have stopped by the car show (without the supra though) if I had seen your post earlier. How was the cruise-in?

    Small town car shows

Don't worry it is the same way here in Ohio. Most of the good car shows only have domestic cars or trucks. I've been looking for a good car show for a while now. I love going to see all of the classic muscle cars (I'd even like to own one some day!), but I'd also like to take my Supra to a show...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

So I've been thinking about using a holset turbo instead of the GT35R (at least initially). They are so much cheaper and still a very sturdy turbo. Instead of spending $1500+ on JUST the turbo, I could spend a third of that on the turbo and use the ~$1000 on something else, such as head work and...

    LC-1 Wideband - extended bung?

After a little more research, the extended bung is used more for applications in small diameter pipes (less than ~2.5") to provide less restriction to flow. Considering this is going in my 3" downpipe, I just cut the bung in half and welded it in like a normal bung. I'm not sure why Innovate is...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Great so far! I'm loving the car, other than a slightly concerning rattle/knock on cold starts (a little ironic with a 2J ;) ). It may just be me though; the car is extremely quiet and solid and you can hear a pin drop so maybe I'm just hearing normal cold start noises that I haven't on my...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Thanks! There are times when I see a red MKIII and drool, but it only takes a glimpse of the sun shining on the metallic teal to make me love the color all over again :)

    OHIO thread

I'd love to go this Sunday, but the Supra is on jackstands right now awaiting installation of my LC-1 wideband and big brake kit from ARZ :naughty:. Green7mgte: good to see you around again! How is the Supra running?

    LC-1 Wideband - extended bung?

I'm installing my Innovate Motorsports LC-1 wideband O2 sensor and the only bung that the kit came with was the "extended" one. This leaves very little of the sensor directly exposed to the exhaust gases. However, I did a little research and read that the extended bungs extend the life of the...
