    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

 Love the fitment without having to stretch the tires too much! I'm looking into CCW wheels now more than Work Equips due to brake clearance and available sizes. I'd like to have similar fender clearance but with 17" wheels. I don't need them quite as wide though.

Moving back in with the parents to save money?

Agreed 100%. The only time I have EVER kept a balance between months was when I had 0% APR for the first 6 months. Everything else is paid off at the end of every cycle, and I've had a couple ~$100 cash back bonuses since I've had the card. I don't charge anything I don't have money in the...

    Snow here.

We just got two solid days of ice here...not much snow. Thought about using a pickaxe to get inside my car...but alas I was nice to it and just let it defrost for 30 mins :)

    Gurley's 92 Teal 2JZ Project

I like it! I wanted to mount my water temp and oil pressure gauges in the stock locations, but backed out being afraid it would look really cheesy since it's hard to mount gauges in the stock cluster. Plus mine were peak and hold which I will need access to. Yours looks like a really clean install!

Cars you'd one day like to mod...

Agree 100%. I think the Supra looks good from a 80s "oldschool" perspective, but the 240/280z looks way more vintage. If I ever get bored with the MKIII chassis, I'd love to pick one up and drop the 7M in! 2300 lbs compared to my 3800 lb targa. :p

    OHIO thread

You're right next door to me! Stark county ftw...lol. If you're interested I have a couple leftover performance parts (in addition to lots of stock parts) from my FFIM conversion. One is a custom upper IC hardpipe with a Tial BOV flange welded on. The other is a modified 3000 pipe to remove the...

ECU Ground location with a FFIM

Thanks guys. I think I've got enough information now. Thanks JJ. I guess in this situation I was being a little "paranoid" about where to ground it. It's good to know it need not be as precise as I originally thought. I think I'm just going to ground it to the block or the frame rail. I have a...

ECU Ground location with a FFIM

True. Is that all I should be looking out for though? The stock grounding point is so close to the block, which seems like a much better ground to me...and I wonder why Toyota didn't ground it there. But then again, maybe (as I said before) I'm thinking too hard about this and it really...

My *sort of* build thread. (PIC WHORE)

Looking good, I can't wait to get my car running on the MAFT Pro speed density (installing it now)! The line from the rail to your AFPR looks a little tight. I'd be afraid any engine movement would stress that too much.

ECU Ground location with a FFIM

LOL...geez guys . A lot happened overnight! I've not been able to draw much of a conclusion, so I think I'm just going to ground it to the block unless someone with more knowledge than me chimes in. If I can't find a good spot there it will go on the frame rail that my block is grounded to...

ECU Ground location with a FFIM

Not all grounds are the same, and I'm sure there are points on the chassis that are not the greatest to ground to. As far as having the most direct path to the battery, the block would be better since it is directly grounded to the negative terminal and is solid iron. Although I'm no expert on...

ECU Ground location with a FFIM

I currently have a FFIM, and during the install I just temporarily grounded the ECU wires to the chassis. They are grounded to the back of the intake manifold stock. I have no location on my new one to ground them, except for maybe on one of the studs holding it to the head (I would have to...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

I haven't had much of a chance to really try them out yet. While bedding them in they felt GREAT; you can feel the blood in your head move towards the front...lol. And I still think they had a little more juice left in them. The only thing that annoying is finding wheels to clear them!

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Definitely! I've been meaning to get together with some local guys, but didn't find the time last year. Hoping the Supra will be up and running good this spring though! The wheels (I think) are: 18x8.5 +40 18x9.5 +31 As much as I like the wheels, I've been thinking of changing it up a...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

I can't believe it's been several months since I've updated this thread! I've been working on the Supra, though not as much as I would like since I moved into a new apartment. Pics of the new apartment with a garage for the Supra: Installed NA valve covers: Converted to a NA...

Rich's Garage. Other work being done

^^ Amazing welds on that aluminum heat exchanger! Did you do the welding Rich? If not I'd love to know who did; I still have some of my aluminum intercooler piping that needs welded.

    Gran Turismo 5, anyone?

Yeah I still have to come up with some plans for mine. If anyone is looking for a G27, Logitech.com now has them in stock: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/wheels/devices/5184 Ordered mine from there, and it should be here tomorrow! It's still the $299 retail price, but it's not the...
