Fitting Work Equip wheels with a big brake kit

Good to know. What makes you think so? (Not trying to be sarcastic or anything, just curious :) ) Have you bought wheels from them before? I was doing a little reading and people have mixed opinions on them, but they responded to my question very quick on eBay. I've seen what you are saying...

Fitting Work Equip wheels with a big brake kit

I'm looking at some Work Equip wheels in 17x8 +35 and 17x9 +35. These will fit just fine, except I'm worried it won't clear my big brake kit (4 piston kit from Arizona Performance). It would be easy as pie if I could see the wheels in person and just use arz's template to see if they will clear...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

Excuse the ignorance, but what do you mean by pad height? Out of curiosity would I be able to fit 17x8 +22 and 17x9 +22 without fender rolling? The set in that size has already sold, but I'm just curious in case something similar crops up.

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

Thanks BorHor. Just so we're on the same page, I'm not really looking to stretch the tires at all. I plan on sizing the tires with a pretty straight sidewall (very similar to Sawbladz setup). So my definition of "flush" might be a little different than others :p. I'm pretty happy with the...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

I'm looking at a set of Work Equip wheels: 17x8 +35 and 17x9 +35. I'm pretty sure they will fit but I'm just curious about the fitment and whether they will sit flush with the fenders without rubbing. Are these good offsets or can I do better? I also have a big brake kit from ARZ and I would...

Extra Wire on Fuel Pump Hanger?

lol...I googled the part number and found this discussion on supraforums: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=357512 Consensus seems to be that it's just a noise filter, though I can't say for sure.

    Sluggish Starts

My IS300 has the ECT transmission button too. I leave it on 90% of the time...otherwise I feel like the engine is bogging just a little in too high of gears. With ECT on I can just flick the gas a little to get it to downshift. :) Oh, and my gas mileage isn't any worse. If anything it's a...

Rich's Garage. Other work being done

I'm not sure which house is yours, but yes I probably am after work in Kent. I'll stop by sometime for sure!

Rich's Garage. Other work being done

Looks great! Is there a coating (just paint?) on the outside of the block? I assume it was also thermally cleaned and the whole nine yards? I can't wait to have mine done! I'm in for more pics :)

SupraMania: What Do Yo Do? Who Are You In Life?

I have a MS Degree in Computer Science, and am currently working at Kent State University as a Senior Applications Developer. I started as a student developer, moved into a GA position in the same department while getting my Master's degree, and am now full time. I'd consider most of my work...

    Hose barb

    ^^ +1. I wouldn't feel safe using a hose barb on a part that--if it fails--would turn your engine into toast ;)

    wideband?

If you want the wideband to last you should put it farther down away from the turbo. No, you need a wideband o2 sensor for the readings to actually be useful. The stock o2 sensor is only useful for the ECU to tell whether it is above or below the target 14.7 AFR.

My *sort of* build thread. (PIC WHORE)

Looking good! How did you get the bits and pieces like the thermostat housing so clean? Are they painted or just a lot of elbow grease? What wheels are those, I really like the look!

    Help with Fuel Pump

I have a Walbro 255 fed by 12 volts constantly and it's not that bad. I can barely hear it above the exhaust at idle. Talk to Rich (screenname: SupraRich); I got mine from him for a good price.

    Aftermarket temp gauge question

If you do find one let me know! According to this thread it is 1/4 BSPT: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?36857-Coolant-temp-sensor-thread-size&p=506159&viewfull=1#post506159 The engine will run OK without the sensor for the stock gauge, but it absolutely needs the ECU coolant...

    Aftermarket temp gauge question

I plan on doing the same because I can't find a 1/8" NPT to 1/4" BSPT adapter to put it in the stock location.

    MAFT Pro + Apexi AVC-R Installation...two MAP/pressure sensors?

I'm getting ready to install my MAFT Pro and Apexi AVC-R boost controller, and I noticed that the AVC-R comes with a "pressure sensor" that is plumbed into the manifold vacuum. The MAFT Pro (in speed density mode) obviously uses the GM MAP sensor to read pressure in the manifold. Is there a way...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Thanks! Sorry, I would have waived back, but didn't know it was you without your Supra! Sorry to hear about the BHG, I hope you are able to get the GTE swap done soon :) If you need any parts for the swap let me know, I still have all of the stock parts lying in the garage/basement right now.

Learned my lesson the hard way

Same thing happened to my dad's Taurus (100% stock mind you...). Luckily the spring snapped close to the end and it happened at low speed. Still spit a piece out and chewed up the tire though. +1 for more details!

ffim 7m or JZ intercooler mounting pics plz

I just used a shorter intercooler. Precision sells one that is rated for 600 HP and is 31.5" L x 8" H x 3.5". I was able to fit mine without any cutting or fuss: It's mounted to the stock bolts on the frame rails: I know this isn't quite was you were asking but hopefully it might give...
