it is cost effective if you are planning on a stock fitament intercooler, stock replacement hardpipes, etc. you can make the manifold as cheap or as expensive as you want. you can reuse the stock throttle body to keep costs down, but you will need some sort of fuel tuning.

I don't have before and after dynos, but my car made 320rwhp with stock turbo and injectors, and I think a big part of that was the FFIM and shorter pipes. torque was around 360ft-lbs, dyno graphs are in my build thread, link in my sig
you also need to attach the stock passenger switch mount somehow. I cut the stock one off with a dremel and epoxied it onto the retrospec part. also, the retrospec part will need a bit of sanding to get it to fit right. i used velcro to attach mine.

if it was sitting for that long, I would look at brakes (make sure rotors are true and within spec, maybe upgrade the pads and change/flush) and suspension (if the bushings, bearings etc are good, look at new springs and shocks), as well as tires (in case they have flat spots from sitting).

you can delete it completely, I found a hose at the parts store that fit. or, if you want to replace it, jetjock posted which car has a similar one, I think you have to remove a bracket or something. just do a search for jetjocks post.

i have had 2 chevy sprints, complete heaps of shit, but hilarious to drive, great on gas, and totally reliable.
