And multiply the dimension in inches by 25.4 to convert to metric (in mm)
the safety features of a standalone can save your motor too, ie boost/ignition/fuel cut when fuel pressure drops, overboost protection, etc
As for tuners, if you can't find someone local that's any good, make a road trip to BC (several good shops in and around Vancouver), or find someone nearby...
one other thing, regarding a standalone. it is a big expense initially, but when you start considering the cost of something breaking due to a shitty tune on piggybacks, it soon becomes a better decision in the long run.
by the time you see something wrong on the gauge, the damage is already done.
again, PSI is NOT a measure of power, as the CFM of a turbo will vary depending on the turbo size. Whoever is telling you this is misleading you.
"Safe" is dependant on your tune. 21 psi, tuned to a steady 10.5:1 or...
much better solution than my original mounting, which was taking a hole saw to the glove box and mounting the AEM in there. Now that I'm swapping the dash and associated parts, I'll try mounting up there like you have.
damn you... I ordered it. I've got a CFX carbon fiber lip. but won't make it out of the driveway without scraping it. This looks like a decent alternative to finding a mint stock lip. Maybe I'll just put the CFX lip in for meets haha
Do you have any pics of your install process? I have that same Grant adapter, but it doesn't seem like its seating properly on my car, although I haven't torqued it down yet. What did you do about the turn signals and horns?
As for other wheels with the Grant hub, I bought this to use with my...
Ya that power sucks for that setup, you should easily be over 400rwhp. I made more power with the stock turbo and injectors. From what I've read on supraforums, that 6262 should be making loads of power.
Well thanks for checking, my dash is out right now and I'm fixing wiring, so I'll move mine over to their own dedicated connections. I was planning to run dedicated power/ground from my battery in the hatch anyways, so one more circuit won't be much work.
or go borrow a puller from an auto parts store. I helped a local guy pull his, we got the puller for free with a deposit. It was a shitty chinese puller but it worked with some effort.
