don't go by wire colors, use the pin positions on the plugs. AEM has some good literature that includes a table of what pin controls what, so the best way would be to look at the 86-88 and 89+ tables, and match them up. since your building an adapter harness, it's also a great time to wire in...

If I were to do it all over again, I would ignore any engine or suspension issues, and get a car with a clean body and interior. Engine and suspension are easier to do for a DIYer, body and paint is a pain in the ass.

very nice numbers! mine makes similar power and its great having all that torque, makes it very easy to drive.

After doing it myself, I would suggest getting a kit. I spent way too much time and money getting all of the fittings and lines made.
