ya it's more the idea of a cage on the street without a helmet. your skull will fail before the cage does.

are there any plugs, like freeze plugs, that could have come loose?

one other thing: don't cheap out on safety items. cages, seats, belts, all things you do not want to fail. also be aware that you may have issues with driving a caged car on the street in BC.

Find a shop that specializes in cage building. You will need the cage built to a particular specification, and that specification can vary depending on who runs the racing event you want to enter. Typically the spec states type and size of the roll cage material, number of connection point...

can you kill an o2 sensor if you run too rich for a long time?

First things first, have you done a leakdown or compression check, or anything to determine if the motor itself is good? Have you checked for boost leaks, any other maintenance issues? are you sure the injectors are good? stock ignition? how are the plugs (pull them and check, lean, rich, proper...

not really, sorry. my v1 is pretty easy to tune, and i know that the v2 is better.

the problems with the AEM V1 are usually because of the CPS and the multiplex ignition. Fix those, and it's fine (I have one on my car). The V2 adds a bunch of great features. imho, if you want an off the shelf ECU, go with the V2.

the connection issue is usually the USB to serial cable. I have 4 different cables, and they don't all work. edit: whoops, you're using the V2, nevermind.
