I like my AEM v1, and the v2 has more features. Installed and tuned could easily be done for under $3k with a good tuner.
If I were to do it all over again, I would consider a Haltech, they have some very affordable systems out now and a local tuner is apparantly very comfortable with it...
I have a 25mm spacer in the front and 15mm in the back with my MKIV TT wheels, 235 f 275 r. I think I posted them before in this thread, but pics in my build thread.
that looks like it will work nicely. I'm not near my car to take pictures, but if I work on it on the weekend I'll take some pictures. FFIM on my car as well.
I guess I'm still confused, but my is300 coils don't have anywhere to ground too. There is the connector for the wiring harness, the secondary spark plug wire connector, and the spark plug connector on the bottom. There is no exposed metal to ground, they are a sealed plastic casing.
For what it's worth, I would think most hydraulic shops or maybe semi truck supply shops would have replacement seals. They are usually just an OD, ID, and thickness. If you bring them the parts and tell them the application they could probably help.
I had to look again (you had me wondering for a minute), but yes it is. That picture is with the car running on the dyno. A couple of the spots in the casting are pretty tight, and to get my coils to sit nicely I had to file down the mounting tab slightly if I recall correctly.
I bought spark...
Do you have a 7M head lying around? I'm not sure if that bracket will fit as shown, as the mounting bolt holes in the coils are nearly resting on the casting on my head, there isn't really any room to mount a bracket below them. I had to remove the center valley cover as well.
crappy picture...
what does a bigger piston really get you that can't be done with a different turbo/tuning/etc? or are you trying to save your damaged block and just get it rebored?
if you are tired of it as a project, consider parking it for awhile if you can. sometimes time away will give you time to explore your options and hopefully rekindle the passion for the car.
