you can set timing by cranking the motor. turn off the injectors in the aem software, and have someone crank the motor while you check the base timing with a timing light. Get the AEM synced and then turn injectors back on.
Have you set your TPS? The wizard makes it easy, takes a few seconds...
Check the voltage on the battery first of all.
AEM has a first start procedure in the manual, which is basically setting the base timing, choosing the correct injectors, etc. Read through that.
You should check out the tuning and SP sections of supraforums. Might not have much info regarding the 7M, but alot of people are running those turbos and making a lot of power. SP has posted a few comparisons too, where all they changed was the turbo (same engine, manifolds, etc). Just keep in...
eshine.ca is good too, I've ordered from them in the past. They have some really good cheap microfiber towels too.
Dave, engine bay looks great as usual!
My car with 25mm hubcentric spacers on the front. It rubbed the fender liner once on a hard bump, so I'll probably roll them at some point. Lowered on Eibach springs.
MKIV TT wheels look horrible without spacers imho.
wtf someone that actually installed the aerocatchs the right way! looks great.
I thought 1zz coils were too tall for the 7m? where did you get the bracket?
I just replaced my master and slave, I also replaced the hardline with a stainless braided one from driftmotion. I'm glad I bought it before hand, as every fitting was corroded and I wrecked a few getting it apart.
Just looked it up, the 2GR was the v6 in the 2009 rav4, sensor is a BECK/ARNLEY Part # 1581017, which rockauto sells for about $78 new. I need to read up more on how these would work with my AEM v1
if you get MKIV TT wheels, get a good quality set of hubcentric spacers for the front (I run 25mm), otherwise the front wheels are tucked way in and it looks bad.
disadvantage: it would look stupid imho. either run 16s, or upgrade to 17s. Don't stagger diameters.
as for speedo, etc, as long as the diameter of the tire is the same, it will be fine. you can google tire size calculators to figure out what tire you would need.
If anything I would stagger...
put the new master and slave in, along with a nice Driftmotion stainless braided line replacement. Just need to fill it, bleed it, and adjust the clutch.
I like the idea, but I imagine the reflection would be blinding in the sun. How about a much cheaper fiberglass version that can be painted/covered in fabric/flocked?
