Yeah that doesn't seem right, on that big of a bill they wouldn't have had some depoist or something. 16k is alot to just throw at someone else car.

You might want to change the spark plug, but i don't think it will have even hurt it.

Was you just turning the motor by hand if so you might try getting a socket and try turning it. I'm not sure and i'm sure some will post for sure but it might just have made compression.

I had one at one time on a red 89 and the bra had supra writen in red, it was ok looking but i don't think i would use one again.

The ones on the dash harness are but the one in the car arn't the plugs are behind the driverside kick panel. and you have one or two behind the gauge cluster and you 2-3 behind the glove box.

You got a few clips and plugs to undo and it will come right out.

If the dash are the same year doesn't take as long. make sure if there are different years to swap the dash harness. It is really that bad of a job just take your time a few things to make it easy; take the apiller covers off, remove the center console, remove the steering wheel, take loose the...

The crossmember from 1989-92 will let you drop a 1jz with nothing having to modded. You can buy different motor mounts that will let you put 1j in a 1986.5-88 with out changing the crossmember.
