I find it impossible to remove that black foot rest on the driver side floor in order to get the kick panel off covering all the electrical components. The screws are rusted as normal and flush mount. Any suggestions on removal in order to get that int. piece off?

The one on my other car i ended up breaking off but wanted to avoid that on this one.

Do most people just drill their's out?

I had this happend once my way was abit rough. The car was just a parts car so it really didn't matter but.. i took a grinder and cut out the are around the screws just the plastic part. once i had that done i broke out the rest of the area so i could get a hold of the heads of the screws with vices grips.

Just make sure you don't waste the effort and struggle. Put a stainless back in there, 10mm would be best imo opinion, nice common size to work with. Or you could put a hex with a flat/star head.

one of those mini screw guns that lots of companys are selling now a-days work really well. They have to have a clutch on them though.

Set the clutch fairly low and when the clutch starts slipping it'll act as a low power impact gun and jolt the screw free.

works (most) of the time :)

Around
Easy Out, or use a cut-off wheel to make a cut for a flatblade screwdriver.

# It helps brace the driver whilst performing extreme maneuvers.

It allows one to brace their weight for better control over the brakes and steering while braking hard

So apparently if I brace myself against the dead pedal I can do all sorts of extreme maneuvers.
