Instrument Cluster - What aftermarket gauges fit? What LEDs are you using?

are you using the entire guage unit itself or have you removed the guts from the gauges and affixed them into your cluster? if you did the first thing i said... you have to cut out the white/rear portion of the cluster just to clear the rear of the guages so that the clear lense can fit over...

how to test solenoids in the transmission?

lol suze... they dont make'em like they used to. IJ, the line pressure i could imagine trying to modulate line pressure independant of Throttle position. that could be considered an improvement over the previous model tranny. however, the TC lock circuit... thats just retarded. is the...

550cc Injectors with clips Great Deal

high impedance injectors dont run exactly the same as our Low impedance and the resistor pack. our injectors are paired and fired by only 3 channels, not 6. so, the stock setup is 3ohm + 3ohm +3 ohm for a total of 9 ohms at the injector driver, give or take. technically, it could be anywhere...

    Fiberglass sub box mockup *PICS*

ah, maybe they are on the low sensativity side/inefficient cuz they are meant for SPL? idk, its been so long since ive even looked at subs. at least 5 years for me. i used to be all about the SPL but now i just want SQ and a full range w/o needing 2500watts of power. all i got right now is...

550cc Injectors with clips Great Deal

not if they are denso's like the ones used in Mazdas, hondas or mitsubishis. those are square plug. the 7m has a very unique connector. i prefer to use factory injectors... which is why i started using RX7 injectors in my projects back in 2001 ;) if you look, youll find i was like the...

you WOULD say that, wouldnt you! lol... i got these for a good deal. i WANTED to get my friend's 505a's with 305/25's ;) but the 295's would swabble in a straight line. they'd spin coming out of corners though. i chunked one of them on the way to the dyno day and lost 20psi in one hour... so i...

    wow

i call joe's post and raise him a smilie: at least he didnt waste a good supra; 89+... or even a turbo one for that matter. this car is old to say the least. it was probably done in the 90's. NO ONE uses hydraulics anymore. everyone is going with air. however, id like to see that bitch...

    Fiberglass sub box mockup *PICS*

thats lookin good... Keith, thanks for that info. for the record, 225/60/16's dont fit correctly in the spare tire well. the limit is about 25" for a tire diameter to fit in that spare tire well... so people running big wheels (like me) cant run the stock spare. my 295/35/18's are 26.4"...

ummm what?? did i just waste 100buxs?

those look like the correct connectors. normally, the oil pressure sensor lead has a silicone boot on the wire. it cant come off the wire due to the hole being so small tht the plastic clip wont go thru it. the oil press sensor is usually black. it slides on Sideways. look at the tip of...

how to test solenoids in the transmission?

    clutch fork

no, if it doesnt work, youre boned. either the seals or shot or the body is rusted/pitted/grooved and it has to be replaced. spend the $40 at auto zone and get the warranty with it. sit on your old one for a few months, then return it for a New one... then sell the New one later or something.

how to test solenoids in the transmission?

its just 12v to switch them, right? i beleive they are all in the rectangular 6-pin connector. you have the TEWD for your car right?

ummm what?? did i just waste 100buxs?

if both of your sensors have what LOOKS like the head of a Brass nail sticking out the top of them, they are correct. there is supposed to be a black plastic rectangular electrical connector at the end of your yellow/black wire. maybe yours broke off back in the day and the previous owner...
