those wont fit a stock body MKIV... let alone a stock body MK3.
the most wheel a stock body mkiv can fit is a 10" wide wheel with +44 offset and 285 tires. to run 295's, the fender lip has to be rolled flat.
you can fit more than a 10" wheel and more than 295's IF, and ONLY IF, you run a...
well, i was on my way to my friend's house to pick him up and head down to the Tampa meet at Super Target. the car seemed to be cutting out under 1500 rpm as i was cruising around 45mph. so i gave it a little more throttle to clear it out and it accelerated fine so i thought it was just running...
hey john, im shopping for a couple of holsets for my next project since i might not be using the T88 next.
i want to make sure im asking for identical turbos... do you know when different versions of the holsets were introduced by production year? cuz im pretty sure not ALL the 2nd gen dodge...
my car will tuck the 315's in the rear with slight fender rolling. no widening/pulling necessary.
the fronts WOULD need pulling to clear the 295's up front.
but for the record, i HAVE cleared 19x10's +50 with 265/30's up front on a lowered supra. the 19x11's with 305/25's with +50 rubbed...
hey, my brakes have been doing the same thing. they dont hang up very hard, but they do drag. they stay pumped up enough to the point where my pedal stays stiff if i press the pedal a second time. its like the brake fluid pressure doesnt bleed back into the resivoir fast enough. idk
they hang...
welp... i think my bushings are junk.
is this a pipe dream now? id like to know if there are any big name retailers selling bushings for our cars in addition to our grass roots guys. i just want to know what to expect this project to cost whether its similar to building an '89 Trans Am front...
yeah, thats true too... last time i tried to find 97-98 motor mounts, it was a needle-in-a-haystack at best and unsuccesful at worst... as far as getting them second-hand.
id still like to try this first as itd be easier since it shouldnt involve lifting the engine... right Randy [in regards...
ive come to the conclusion i also need lower ball joints at the very least...
i dont know how it happened... i only have 74k miles on the car!!! but the car wanders all over the road. the wider the tire i have up front, the WORSE it is. when i had 315's up front, i had to fight the car as it...
yeah... but wheres the lip?
the FNoh-one-nor-see-er whatevers have a pseduo-lip... i just cant stand how the face goes from a low offset to a high offset just to bring the spokes back into the barrel. its a wheel with an identity crisis... plus, they are played.
look at some FR500 wheels...
yes, randy and IJ are talking about exactly what im referring to because it mounts to the single, strongest points available; the Frame and the engine pedestal.
the cylinder head casting and a strut top stud is far from ideal... especially with the force an engine can create when abruptly...
thanks guys...
ive NEVER been shocked by discharge from this car on this COP setup. they are original wires from 2002 as far as i know. they still have the plastic spiral loom on the wires, the weak 6mm that they are. at least i only have to buy 3 leads! lol.... watch, ill get there and find...
Remember when i said this?

Sorry...
hey guys, i played musical wheels today... some cool stuff happened.
before:
Fr- 17x9.5 +50mm MKIV's with Nitto 555R 315/30 DRs. only rubbed the last 1/16th turn before lock. hits front sway bar.
Rr- 16x7 +37mm Sawblades with Maypop's... burned them down everywhere.
After:
Fr- 18x10...
NOoooo... Really?
i figured it was just a basic shock with oil inside. it sounds like yours has the same goo inside as a V-LSD... crap, maybe i should just go get a factory setup...
yes, very true. camber and ride height will certainly play a factor in what people can cleaer and what they cant... i can "clear" some good size meats (315 up front and 295 out back) but i have stock ride height and alignment specs... who knows how much its gonna change when i get coilovers and...
i wonder how much your engine rotates in its mounts compared to mine. do you happen to have any short vids of your car running on a dyno or revving, blipping the throttle or any of that business? i dont know if mine is excessive or its normal for these mounts... i wish i hadnt thrown away the...
so, ive been having some sort of misfire problem with my car; both on cold starts, midrange RPM under light load after initally warming up and changing to only 6000-7000rpm while hot and WOT.
its either my injectors fucking up (not sure if its associated with my over-night flooding issue) or...
what we need is to consolidate everyone's post who stated what wheel and tire specs they have on their car. that way, whoever is curious about X rim with Y offset and Z sizing can scroll down the list and PM whomever is running those specs.. this thread is almost uselessly long for straight...
idk... more 'spensive and my mounts are, ironically, unbroken.
also, going to the head is bad. its popular in hondas and ive heard too many horror stories of a chunk of the head being ripped out. if cast aluminum was an acceptable mounting point to eliminate torquing via one 10mm x 1.25...
