yeah, there is a fair bit of room. there is at 5mm that can be taken from the original diameter, 8mm if you wanna get crazy. the stock flapper is 33mm and the stock hole is 23mm, so there is about 10mm of total seat area. doing 8mm would be cutting it close, no pun intended.
