Very nice wheels Duane!

They are one of my favorite wheels ever. Keep up the great work on the beautiful car and please keep us updated as the transformation continues.

I like the old TRD ones you had...

those look nice, meshies look good on the supra, but the oddball sizing is throwing me off...

Looks awesome Duane! The look you have now is perfect, a little hard to get used to considering the TRD wheels are etched into memory now so its hard to realize thats the same car. I guess theres benefits to being friends with a wheel whore :)

Good work man, and just an anxious to see the respray. (will be equally nice but whatev) Just out of curiousity, your getting new trim on everything and such but are you going to spray the hood and headlight covers?

Good work man, i'm dieing to see this car again. Inspiration on wheels.

The title of this thread scared me, I thought you were taking my future wheel combo :)

Wheels look great, perhaps a video before the dreaded long wait in the paint shop?

me thinks you may have ended up with too Little offset on the rear :( i have +44 and 10" wides in the rear with no rubbing on the inside area of the car. all my car needs is to have the fender lip flattened and thered be no interference ever. +38 sounds like an offset for the front, honestly.

they just came out w/ some 335/30/ drag radials i think. i saw them on a newedge gt500 last november. they were pretty hoss ;) oh, also, did you talk to CCsteve when you bought those wheels?

other than that, those things look bad ass. i must admit, thats the first set ive ever seen with the light-weight alterations.

and yes, CCW offers wheels in other colors now. a nice option is black chrome which is a translucent black anodized finish; its sick-ish.

Dunno if you read.. but any higher in offset and he will rub the coilover, he actually might rub right now when the car squats. He is lowered unlike you are so your offsets will not work.

no i read that... i thought coilovers had MORE clearance inside the fender than the stock suspension setup. do they not?

also, at what ride height does the suspension begin to cause the wheel/hub assembly to get closer to the car? is it when the vehicle is lowered to the point that the lower links are below the 0* horizontal position?

with duane's offset he's set for drag racing, time attacks, with the rims you got,all your doing is adding a lot more weight with all that rubber in the front, and you don't drift or drag, and i definately know you don't do time attack so trying to even fit some fat meat in the front is reeally useless to you

but non the less duane! your car is looking sWEET

Well.. When we lower our car a lot the upper control arm holds us back because of the lack of adjustment so we are stuck with negative camber which is why his rims is so close. Also why do you need to question it if we already know for a fact that it is close.

first off, i dont need to defend my interest in playing musical wheels. and for the record, i have quite a technical road that stretches for 33 miles, one way. its actually a road that is frequented by sport bikes and is adapted to quite well by cars that can stick it. but i guess theres no point in putting wide wheels in the front of the mk3... becuase no one else but famous mk3 owners could ever do anything besides putt around in their cars...

also, im questioning it because i dont know. if youre going to get pissy because i want to learn more about the way suspention dynamics change throughout differing ride heights... then forget about it. ill cease to ask questions when i want to learn about something i dont know.

good day.

Much nicer than the old setup. Or the one before that. :) He definitely sounded like a kid in the candy store on the phone with the UPS guy at the door! fluby, borhor, relax, brothers. What will fit on your average car will not work on Duane's, he's got some odd bits mounted here and there, and a lot of work went into the sizing.
