My car ran ridiculously rich on nothing but the Lex and 550s. Like, black smoke rich. Note: each car is different, so those results aren't always applicable to another car. But generally, that combo runs rich out of the box.

Don't keep trying to boost with a leak that large. You can kill the turbo that way. Check: Charge pipe right off the bottom of the turbo, and the coupler at the 3000 pipe. Those are the most common leak areas.

A tap and a chaser are two different things, just watch your wording. You're not sending a tap down the threads. Taps are meant to cut threads, chasers are meant to clean/repair threads. (and by repair, not something that's completely mangled)

Did you properly bleed the system? Park with the nose as high as you can get it, pull the radiator cap off, run at 2.5k RPM. Refill with coolant as necessary. If you still have air in the system, it will cause all sorts of interesting cooling system sounds. A proper system should self bleed...

As far as I know, the throttle cables only vary from N/A to Turbo, not from year to year. Put yours on, adjust it properly, and make sure the throttle plate fully opens and closes. If so, there's no reason not to use it.
