Are they the same length? I have tried to stick to 89+ everything on my motor, but my buddy thinks that the linkage I have is all pre-89. I want to ensure that the throttle cable is the same also. Thanks

As far as I know, the throttle cables only vary from N/A to Turbo, not from year to year. Put yours on, adjust it properly, and make sure the throttle plate fully opens and closes. If so, there's no reason not to use it.
