7M-GTE Timing Belt Loose After 2nd Gear Pull - not broken

For what it's worth, I had a similar problem several years ago. It ended up that the tensioner was actually bent, and would keep the belt tight during rotation by hand/socket wrench, but would lose time as soon as the motor was started. Drove me nuts for about fifteen minutes until I figured it...

    Driving shoes

Right on. Unless some of these guys are wearing sprinting shoes (really thin soles), they're not ideal for me. I also wear steel toes for work. I keep them in the trunk of my M3 and just slip them on when I get to work. It just doesn't feel right without my Pumas on. What shoes are those...

    Driving shoes

I've been wearing Puma Speed Cats for about 5 years or so. They're pretty comfortable and have thin soles.

    Low profile headlights

When it comes to HIDs on these cars, do it properly or don't do it at all. Use good quality xenon projectors, not halogen housings of any sort. If you're not going to do it right, then spend $30 or less and do a good, proper rewire of the stock setup using 12awg, good quality bulbs (IE: NOT...

    Found a W-series transmission

I've had two w58 transmissions- one from a pre 89 Supra, and one from an 89-92 model. I can't remember which came from which, but one had a cast iron center, other had an aluminum center.

    2012 MINI Cooper S Coupé

As you said, the thing about it that bothers me is the roof line. The rest of the car still looks very Mini-like. I'm not writing it off at all, as I'm sure it'll be a great little car like all the other Minis, I'd have to see one in person before I pass final judgement on style, and drive one...

    2012 MINI Cooper S Coupé

Congrats, but after thinking about it long and hard, I do not like the lines of that car one bit. :( I do love the traditional style (any year) Minis, though.

what car would it be if you were to settle in for a daily driver/cruiser car ??

My summertime DD is a '95 M3, double adjustable TCKline coilovers, every single bushing replaced, 3.38 differential, fully reinforced rear subframe, reinforced front subframe and rear trailing arm pockets, mild bolt-ons (injectors, 3.5" intake, exhaust which sounds like sexytime), oil pan...

    Mo's 1991 Supra 500 rwhp Build-up (Long Overdue!)***New Pics on Pg.6&7***

Can't see the pics right now, but I'll check back later. I'm sure it's sweet! I often times think that I never should have bought the M3, because with the amount of work I've put into it, I could have the Supra done. Fail. :( Your face is pretty.

Are Gte knock sensors different than n/a?

They're the same. The only ones that won't fit are from a '92 car (or some time in '92) when they switched to the square style knock sensor connectors.

    E36 1JZ Swap

Meh. Cool swap, but there are other routes I'd go before 1jz. LSx comes to mind, or turbo a good used s50. I'd do either of those before a 1jz swap. OP- are you on BF.c?

For all you BMW owners, a deal

UUC has gone seriously downhill. I have personally had their transmission mounts tear right in half. I've got pics, but they're on my home PC. I've also got their poly rear trailing arm bushings (RTABs for you Bimmer guys) and while they're still ok, I think they're too stiff to properly allow...
