Actually dumbo, you fail. Its not a socket. According to the tsrm, you need a special tool. (SST 09043-3810 from the dealership) or you can use a standard allen key bit on a 3/8 ratchet. 10 mm if I recall correctly.

EDIT: Hes taking the head off b/c he dropped a valve while working on it. I'm pretty sure he has the cams out already.

Good call forgot about the cams:nono:

Thought the head bolts were a 14mm. Or is that just the ARP ones?

Actually you're right I think I do have ARP Studs because they look like bolts or nuts (not by the car can't remember)....and I believe matt (mkIIIsupraman18) said they were ARP when I bought the car

If they're ARP's, you need a 14mm 12 point shallow socket.

Will I be able to tell if they are def ARP's when they come out...which means they are reusable. I called ARP and they said there were 2 types, reusable and non reusable. Is there a way to tell or should I just be safe and buy a new set.

Hey Dumbo, I going to Raynham, MA, not Cincinnati, OH. I mean, I'd be happy to help the guy if I could, but he's a little too far away for me.

I think you want a boroscope, not a magnet hahah.

I think I've mistaken the person asking for help and needing it. Who are you going to help then rayall??!!??

Ray is coming over my house. We are going to intentionally drop a valve in the junk motor in my supra, and then retrieve it in order to prove that our idea is not only possible to do, but also practical, and doable in a reasonable amount of time.

The magnet is to fish the stem of the valve out of the spark plug hole, after we fish the line we put in through the guide out, so we can super glue the line to the top of the stem, and pull the stem back through the guide.
