Except that it's missing a turbo, LOL

Kidding aside, my N/A has some bad damage in the rear right quarter panel, that and the headlights won't flip down even though my motors are good and i've tried swapping the retract control relay. And a BHG... lol it's a pos =)

I should be lapping my block this weekend, after that's done, and i get my toyo order, I'll be doing a final spray down of the block and then it's time for final assembly, I'm sure i could use a hand installing the pistons and head and all that good stuff :)
IIGHT!
sounds good.
I'll be in couverville/portland on the weekend of the 13th/14th, but after that i dont think I have any plans.

If you're talking about your car, if i weren't getting close to assembly, I'd be tempted to just so i could see it in action lol

The shittiest part about the 7MGTE: Always backordered on toyota parts, hard to find bits, and pieces that are discontinued forcing you to hunt down your own hardware!. I'm probably not gonna get my last 2 freeze plugs (and lots of other bits) until next week. It cracks me up spending $50 on a selection of nuts, bolts, and studs!

Btw, Kyle, i have your chilton manual

My parents ordered it for me off line not too long after I got the car, for my birthday if I remember correctly.
Shouldn't be too hard to find.
I don't think it's chiltons though
it's something else, whatever the generic one that you see everywhere.

but yarden, I'll probably see you thursday or something maybe? I'll give you a call.

Made a bit of progress today, put all the rings on my pistons, as well as all the bearings on the rods, and I cleaned the block until I ran out of brake cleaner! Gonna pick up a couple more cans of brake cleaner tomorrow, and gotta get my air compressor back to where the engine is to help get all the crap out of the small holes! Still some grit from lapping to clean out.

I layed out the cometic, and even though it's a brand new one, there's a rivet that is going to need to be snipped! (in the picture with the messed up paint :icon_frow)

I also included a picture of another rivet that i think will be ok, but it's a close call!

These are going to be the last photos on this thread of a empty block!!! It won't be bare for much longer.

I went there today, and it looks like the framework for the driveway is in place, I guess they just have to compact the ground abit and then pour the concrete! Then i'll probably need to buy a winch and figure out where to mount it so i can lower a very heavy engine down that rediculously steep driveway

I'm still waiting on that stupid toyota order though, with oil squirters, my last freeze plug, and a bunch of bolts I need to assemble the block!

Unless i hit another bump (which I expect to, ie, realise i need another part and have to wait another 2 weeks on backorder!) I expect this to fall into place quite soon now!
