I have a warrant out for me? I don't suppose we have any lawyers here....

Lawyers are insane with their charges. My wife had to have one to take her deadbeat ex to court. Even that call she made would net us an $8 charge! A copy of the bill would be between $25-50 for their time.

Under 2 weeks now Laura! Hang in there, I know it's rough, but you can do it.

Well, a little bit of good news.

I finally managed to sell the old Honda. Didn't get quite as much for it as I would have liked, but at least I can make sure my car insurance/payment is made, and pay my share of electric and other bills. So it helps, a lot. :)

Things are still tight, but at least I don't have to worry about them towing my car off anytime in the next month or so.

Yeah, I still have the Ion. John still has the Supra, as well as his truck.

No, didn't sell the Maverick, it is still around. I wasn't going to get much for it anyway, since it needs a lot of work. We're trying to make some plans to get the Camaro that is in the garage either finished and/or sold, and bringing the Maverick in there, so I can get it out of the storage unit that is currently costing $100/month.

It says a lot about you, that you have done everything in your power to cover the family responsibilities while in the position you are in.

Very much agreed. You're quite a stand-up woman, Laura. :)

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it. It may seem kind of middle-school-ish to admit, but it's nice to hear.

I feel like I'm busting my butt and getting nowhere, even though I know that's not true. But Doward will be home in 12 days (nope, I'm not counting, not at all!! :D ), and things will hopefully be a little easier once he gets back. He's talking about maybe trading in his truck for some little gas-efficient econo-box (we're talking like a bone-stock Yaris here), so if we can get a good deal, maybe the car payments will go down some, as well. We'll see.

Bedtime for me, though, here at 6:30am. :)

Well, this "stand-up" woman took some time and a little money for herself this weekend. Great time, not sure I ever want to do it again, LOL.

Went to this rather awful little strip club/bar in Ocala called Body Shots with my best friend and some of her friends on Saturday night. Didn't drink there, you had to buy at least 3 drinks on a credit card. I got mauled by the goth stripper there, by the name of Stormy. I had to wipe nipple grease off my face and her spit off my neck (where she licked me from my collar bone to my ear) by the time we walked away from the stage.

Left there, went to this other place a few miles away. 3 bars, 1 cover charge. Midnight Rodeo, for the rednecks, Absolut, for the drinkers, and Zanzabar, for the ones who like to dance. I spent most of the night being fed alcohol by my best friend's little brother's girlfriend, who we call Canada, since two Laura's drinking together gets confusing. Went back to said friend's house, and proceeded to puke all over her bathroom. Yay.

Like I said, I had a great time, but I don't want to do it any time soon. Even though I did only pay for like 3 of the 10 or so drinks I had. :D Canada liked me, LOL.

Only another 9 days until Doward gets home. It will be nice to have him around again, I kinda miss him. :)

Drinking till you puke is good entertainment once in a great while. I quit drinking a while ago but last time I went up to visit Tim in Olympia we hit downtown and went to several bars. I ended up puking that night, and nursing a hangover the next day and got NOTHING done on his car.

Im glad you got a chance to cut loose a little and take your mind off things. You dont have long to go until the beginning of the end of this mess. Hang in, k?

Newest update.

Doward is back in Sumter County, and at this point, will be released on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. His attorney waited until 10 days before his release date to file a motion for early release. So by the time everything is processed...it doesn't look like he will be getting out early.

I QUIT THE CONVENIENCE STORE!!! :D I got tired of the bullshit. The manager kept cutting my hours back, more and more. The only reason that I was getting any hours at all was because another store needed my help. Well, the manager of the second store got fired, and when they brought in a new manager, they brought in an employee with the new manager. So no more hours were available to me there. And with only 8 scheduled hours per week, it was a waste of time. After they took out my insurance, taxes, and the $15.00/week I had them hold (since they can't seem to take out the right amount of taxes - I made $3600 last year and they took out $4 in taxes), I end up with a $22 paycheck. What a joke. So now I am working at Hungry Howie's, and still at Waldenbooks. Such a relief to not worry about going to the Kangaroo anymore. :)
